DH has vetoed having both. Surname is long and begins with W.

Use both! Felix Aleksander Raphael is lovely - as long as your surname isn't, say, Taylor...

You almost never use the middle names as well. Tell him you'll fill in future forms if it's too much for him

Curiously my bank has recently started addressing their marketing letters to me as "Dear Charlotte + middle name". I quite like it

Another vote for using both. I was reluctant with our son but we both wanted use names on either side so we did 2 middle names. They aren't used often so it doesn't matter that they have once extra name than most. Nobody knows anyone's middle name until they ask!

Does he need one? They're not compulsory, although I understand they may be expected in some cultures. Will he use it? I don't use mine except at the Dr's surgery and hospitals because obviously it was registered at birth with the NHS. A middle name isn't as important as a first name.

Nah. I know two Felixes, a baby and a grown man and it’s a great name. Don’t associate it with cats at all: cats are called Mr Whiskers.

No it's not. It was used by a company that sells Cat food. A name is a name.

All my kids have 2 middle names. One family, one cos we liked it.
Never been an issue.
They like having a family associated name

Felix is a great name which works in most European languages. I'd probably pick Raphael as middle name.

When we were researching family history we came across someone with five middle names. It turned out he was the first boy in the family after lots of girls, and likely to be the last child. He got given the names of his grandfathers, some of his great grandfathers and one of his uncles!

I was worried it didn't flow as well as Felix Aleksander but the majority here were on DHs side that it does work so I was convinced. We all love it and the artist connection links to DDs name too which I appreciate even if no one else in the world ever will 😄

Definitely no more DC for us so I'm glad we used the name we love! 🧡
