Me too. I was just getting started in the garden and then the rain started. And it’s cold and miserable, its rubbish.

Kurtanforpm · 06/04/2022 18:11

I know, it’s just so bloody boring now.

And I’m fed up of sitting in the house being cold.

Muminabun · 06/04/2022 18:13

Coats and hats on the kids, windscreen wipers on, heater on, dogs coats on, car lights on….bloody tedious… roll on spring

jupitermars1345 · 06/04/2022 18:20

It is supposedly spring no ? 😭

I don't drive and school is 1.5 miles away
So six miles of walking a day with a ten month old baby to . Bored of it
Enjoy the school run when the weather is nice though

Mine finished school on Friday - so no school runs, but lots of struggling to keep them entertained in crap weather.

jupitermars1345 · 06/04/2022 18:23

Yep
I get fed up at home with my baby to but it's just miserable outside
Mine finishes this Friday

FuzzyPuffling · 06/04/2022 18:24

Agreed. I want to plant seeds.

LadyCatStark · 06/04/2022 18:25

DS is on his school holidays but I agree, it makes everything seem even more bleak. It’s ducking 12 degrees inside my house today and every day it gets colder as the residual heat from when we could afford heating drains away.

jupitermars1345 · 06/04/2022 18:27

Oh I know
We managed to save loads of energy not needing as much heating in march
As soon as it's cold again it's when the fucking prices hike.
It's around 15-16c in my home mostly.

jupitermars1345 · 06/04/2022 18:27

Probably drops more at night

LadyCatStark · 06/04/2022 18:28

@jupitermars1345 I know, you couldn’t make it up! I bet the energy companies and government are laughing their way to the bank!

pumpkinpie01 · 06/04/2022 18:29

Can't wait for some warm weather ,makes such a difference -park and picnics after school without dashing home in the rain !

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 06/04/2022 18:30

Sunny, hang bedding out, rain, school run, start to cook tea, sun starts streaming through kitchen window so I’m roasting. About to walk the dog so probably due more rain.

Concestor · 06/04/2022 18:44

It's always cold this time of year. Last year it was snowing in this day where I live in the south east. Sadly, it doesn't get warm in the UK to may/June. April is always crap.

Natsku · 06/04/2022 18:53

Could be worse - we've had insane amounts of snow over the last couple of days, I've had to shovel the driveway 4 times and we've run out of places to push the snow to so now its piled in front of the garage as well, won't be getting in there until its all melted now and then floods the place.

BlossomingSlowly · 06/04/2022 18:56

Agreed! I'm a dog walker so have been out walking every day without fail all winter in all weathers. Was hoping the weather would be improving by now 😞

TheChosenTwo · 06/04/2022 18:59

I wouldn’t mind so much if when I did finally get home I could just stay in! I absolutely hate going back out when I’ve finished work and it’s shifty weather (for boring things, I like it when I’m going out for fun stuff Grin ) but I got home today and had to take ds to his music lesson so sat waiting in the car for half an hour, then home. When I got in, dh was cooking and called out that we needed a couple of bits so I was back out to the supermarket… I was so narky (although I didn’t let on, I appreciate him making the dinner I just wanted to be home and warm! I got home, lit the fire and am now stretched out on the sofa all warm and cosy. And now dd has just asked if I remembered I need to drop her at work Angry

applecatchers36 · 06/04/2022 19:07

I hear you... been determined to use the washing line and not the dryer but just stuck all the washing on the line with a brief glint of sunlight then the heavens opened haven't got the heart to bring it all in again 😌

itssupposedtobespring · 06/04/2022 19:10

It's miserable. I went on a walk today and it was grim. Cold, wet, windy, and back to a bloody cold flat afterwards too.

baroqueandblue · 06/04/2022 19:32

I'm in the south-east and apparently over the next few days it's going to get gradually warmer and sunnier for the foreseeable. Hope it warms up elsewhere too.

Fingers crawsed Grin

Scarby9 · 06/04/2022 19:40

I agree.
It makes me even more grateful for the weather we had in lockdown 1 back in March / April 2020. That ws so unseasonably wonderful, as if in some form of compensation.

FrMaguire · 06/04/2022 19:41

Totally agree! It's shit. Who can we write a strongly worded letter to over this please and thank you GrinWink?

It feels like bloody winter today and I feel like emigrating

Deathraystare · 06/04/2022 19:42

Some poor lady came into reception absolutely drenched!

I had to pop out to warn a taxi driver he was likely to have a long wait (about half an hour - seriously! why don't they get the patients ready in time! They book the taxis on the ward!!. I am sure the guy has other jobs to go to.). I got quite wet!

bettertocryinamercedes · 06/04/2022 19:47

It's cold and wet here too in north Scotland and I'm constantly wet/cold as we are lambing. Everywhere is muddy, lambs are soaking, covered in mud, being born in the snow at night so having to go out 3 times a night to check.

Today was 8 degrees and actually felt warm.

We are in a static caravan too and more snow forecast tonight. Heating is on tho so it's not too bad.

I'm sick of it. Was really hoping for a warm spring as last weekend was gorgeous and I went out in a dress and bare legs!!!
