With both my boys it was capers and wine gums (not eaten a caper before or since!). With Dd it was orange juice, by the gallon.
Oddly, my sister also craved orange juice with my niece.

Satsumas by the pound! They had to be fridge cold, I would literally eat them with my head in the fridge. Raw carrots as well, I went through a bag a day. This was in the days before ready prepared carrot sticks and I would often rip the bag open in the car and eat them unwashed on the way home. When DS2 came out bright orange (jaundice) I got lots of knowing looks from my mother as if to say look what you and your carrots have done to him .

Marmite. Marmite and marmite-flavoured-crisps sandwiches

Ginandvomits · 05/04/2022 14:03

Milkshakes. I would drive out of my way to buy them. Never have before or since.

I had the orange juice one with my last. Battered sausages from the chippy, cheeseburgers and oddly, chalk.

BusySittingDown · 05/04/2022 14:05

Dairylea cheese sandwiches (brown bread). Never wanted them since!

Chocolate - although that craving never went away Blush.

Cranberry juice

Maxifly · 05/04/2022 14:12

I used to buy whole boxes of soft liquorice novelties and alternate those with strawberries.

mamatoawildflower · 05/04/2022 14:13

Sour sweets, strawberries and freezing cold whole milk. Had two weeks solid where I couldn't think about anything other than prawn cocktail walkers crisps, literally ate a 6 pack a day, haven't looked at one since. Oh and volvic bottled water, couldn't be any other.

Eaumyword · 05/04/2022 14:20

Oranges!

chisanunian · 05/04/2022 14:22

Mars bars. Then I moved onto sausage rolls, and eventually in the last month or so, bananas.

I think my body was trying to tell me something because it turned out dc had a potassium deficiency at birth, and bananas are high in potassium.

Doesn't explain the mars bars and sausage rolls though!

Looseleaf · 05/04/2022 14:29

Oranges
Herring
Cold water
Potted shrimps
Smoked salmon

VioletWillow · 05/04/2022 14:32

With all three I craved orange juice, which was crap with 2 and 3 as I had gestational diabetes and couldn't have it! With no. 1, cherry yoghurts. I ate them by the gallon. All three, burgers. Oh wow. 2 and 3, cherry tomatoes.

RampantIvy · 05/04/2022 14:35

@Twizbe

Orange squash (which I hate normally) preferably made with lemonade. Terry's chocolate oranges. Citrus craving is quite a common one and I had it with both mine one boy and one girl.
I didn't know that. I didn't have strong cravings, more a case of I fancied eating things - which was mainly oranges and salad.
123feraverto · 05/04/2022 14:45

Both pregnancies

  • salt and vinegar crisps -pickled onions

1st - watermelon , cheesy beans on toast

2nd - tomatoes, ice chips ,

irishfarmer · 05/04/2022 14:57

Currently pregnant with my 1st. I was crazy for strawberry milk until a few weeks ago. Also apple tart with custard.

I told the midwife when I was in last week I like a coke original once/ twice a week. She told me not to drink it or I'd give myself gestational diabetes. I'm not expert but I don't think that's how it works. I have stopped drinking it though!

BritishDesiGirl · 05/04/2022 15:13

Cadbury creme eggs, l was eating a 5 pack a day. Jam doughnuts, chillies pickled, gherkins, battered sausages. Salt and vinegar crisps, pickled onion crisps.

HearMeSnore · 05/04/2022 15:16

Nasty, salty, cheap processed meat, preferably tinned. Spam and Fray Bentos did very well out of me that year.

I took to putting vinegar on my toast in the mornings.

Also I went off chocolate completely but couldn't get enough Haribo Tangfastic.

LetsGoCrazyPurpleBanana · 05/04/2022 16:42

Chinese food with my son, McDonald's chicken nuggets and supernoodles and mashed swede with my daughter.

LetsGoCrazyPurpleBanana · 05/04/2022 16:43

Oh and salt and vinegar crisps with son also.

Squiff70 · 05/04/2022 16:50

Currently nearly 20 weeks pregnant. Salad, rotisserie chicken, jumbo sausage and chips from the chippy and in the early days I once ate a full tub of coleslaw for breakfast Blush

My big vice though is orange Lucozade. Not the Zero or Sports versions but the original, but it has to be very fizzy and ice cold. I KNOW its not good for me or my baby so I limit myself strictly to one small bottle a day, which I have as soon as I get up in the morning. It transpires my mum drank shitloads of original Lucozade when pregnant with me and I turned out okay, ish!

Squiff70 · 05/04/2022 16:52

Oh gosh, cherry tomatoes and fresh raspberries has been a recent obsession too. Not so fussed about raspberries now but my cravings change frequently so I rarely know what I want from one day to the next. I'm a pain in the arse when it comes to grocery shopping!

twomumsonebump · 05/04/2022 16:54

DD - salt and vinegar pringles, pineapple, tescos triple chocolate chip muffins, potato waffles!

sqirrelfriends · 05/04/2022 16:55

Steak tartar (I didn't indulge, obviously)
Chopped red onions
Capers
Mangos

sqirrelfriends · 05/04/2022 16:56

Oh and crisps

minniep · 05/04/2022 16:58

DC1 was mc Donald's chips and just carbs in general. Dc2 was chicken wings and DC3 was coffee cake.
