So it's Sunday night, the most yuck night of the week ... how do you spend yours 😀

Hungover and regretful

Theimpossiblegirl · 03/04/2022 19:06

Planning, marking, starting to feel anxious for the week ahead.

skippy67 · 03/04/2022 19:08

Chilled, because I work Tues to Fri!

Mouthfulofquiz · 03/04/2022 19:10

Same Annoyed. I’ve had a couple (of very large) glasses of wine while pottering about and cooking dinner and now I have to get my sensible head on. I hate it.

bloodywhitecat · 03/04/2022 19:11

Same way as I spend every other night of the week really, writing up my notes (foster parent) and planning the next day's entertainment for two under 2s.

yawningthenightaway · 03/04/2022 19:11

It's pure giving me the boke.... I stupidly said I'd cover a colleagues shifts this week so after a long weekend away I'm straight into 9-6 all week with no staff. Pass me the beer 🍺😭

At least we're moving into the better, brighter evenings but sundays don't half suck the life outta my happiness 😠

I hear ya sister!
In trying to make the most of the weekend, everything gets crammed into Sunday evening in preparation for the week ahead.

  • be up to date with laundry
  • beds changed
  • bins collected Monday morning
  • I do my Tesco order Sunday night

Current state: lying on sofa!

YouCantTourniquetTheTaint · 03/04/2022 19:29

I am so anxious, it's unreal, my usual calming techniques aren't working Sad

I started my job last week, it's a chilled atmosphere, the job so far is manageable, so I don't know where this anxiety is coming from.

I need a bath and to make my lunch for tomorrow, but my adhd addled brain is like fuck you🖕you're just gonna lie here and stew.

Oatsamazing · 03/04/2022 19:36

I work Sundays and have Monday/Tuesday off so tonight is my Friday night. Woop!! My 18mo DD has been sleeping lots today which is very unlike her so suspect she (and I) will not sleep much tonight.

Cherrysoup · 03/04/2022 19:36

Lord, I normally loathe Sunday evening but Easter holiday started on Friday. Unfortunately, it takes about a week and a half to get into a routine of being able to lie in.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 03/04/2022 19:39

Yep feeling that tonight. I look forward to going into work normally, but I’m doing a particular job next week I don’t like. Grump grump grump.

RoyKent · 03/04/2022 19:46

Tonight I'm ignoring my planning and the presentation I have to give...the work is getting done and I'm feeling sick that I haven't done it but I'm too exhausted to turn on my laptop. Let alone engage my brain.

DogsAndGin · 03/04/2022 19:51

Curled up on sofa, admiring the dog, have started a new book, drinking lots of water to rehydrate before a busy week, and to be honest - I’m excited for the week ahead! I’m a primary school teacher and I adore my job, my colleagues and my 32 precious little pals.

devildeepbluesea · 03/04/2022 19:55

Day off tomorrow as it’s my birthday.

Today has been spent napping on the sofa. Just about to go to bed for more sleep.

Normally I’d probably do much the same tbh. WFH most days and I log on early to get a head start every day.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 03/04/2022 19:59

Pretty chilled out. Enjoying the clean house before it gets messy again Smile

balalake · 03/04/2022 20:41

@skippy67 me as well, if anyone is thinking of reducing from a 5 to 4 day week, consider Mondays off, not Fridays.

clary · 03/04/2022 20:45

I used to have this when I was a teacher. Shudder to think of it now. I love my job and look forward to doing it so I like Mondays.

Sunday night is lazy on the sofa and maybe doing the ironing. Had a bath, cleaned, earlier done some work for my side hustle. Gonna watch reruns of Friends with DD.

IWanderedLonely · 03/04/2022 20:53

Drinking

GeorgiaGirl52 · 03/04/2022 21:04

Going to evening service at church and picking up a Chinese take-away on the way home. Then eat, watch "Midsomer Murders" while washing and drying all our clothes for next week. Best night of the week!

angelsandinsects · 03/04/2022 21:07

DH often ends up doing some work on a Sunday night. As soon as I get wind of that, I run around getting everything else done so that I can sit down around now with a glass of wine and watch TV by myself. It's one of my favourite times of the week! The DC are up increasingly late which affects what I can watch and whilst DH doesn't stop me from watching whatever I want, if we're both watching TV, I feel as though it should be something we both enjoy which rules out things like Bridgerton & The Gilded Age

This is so lovely ❤️

Wendyer · 03/04/2022 21:11

I love my job but hate Sunday evenings. Don’t know why but I always have. 27yr old dd, 17yr old ds and I have just been commiserating with each other. I’m wondering if it’s too late in the evening for a hefty gin …

AragornsGirl · 03/04/2022 21:16

It’s the Easter holidays here and we’re away for a week. So I’m spending tonight drinking wine and eating crisps! And hopefully I will sleep through the night rather than waking in a panic and worrying about things!
