Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone doing today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, as usual. The only sounds I can hear atm are a wood pigeon in the tree at the bottom of my garden, some smaller birds chirping away, and my freezer humming to itself. Bliss!

There's a couple of wash loads to do, and last night's pots to wash , but other than that, I don't think we're doing much today. Dd2 wants to walk to Asda for a couple of Easter eggs and some things to decorate them with so we'll do that at some point.

I've written myself a to-do over the Easter holidays list, so will do a few things off there too.

Hopefully I'll get round to finishing crocheting the limbs of the t-rex I'm making for my friend's ds (it's for Christmas so no rush). Then I can assemble him once I remember where I put the stuffing!

Dd1's cooking something chickeny with stir fried veg and rice for tea 😋 I'll probably have a glass or two of wine with it.

I think it'll mostly be a steady, moochy, kind of day here, what about you lot?

I have booked the children into a free play session at our local family centre this morning at 10 and will then take them to the library or our local soft play where we have annual passes. I am currently lying in bed trying to motivate myself to get us all dressed and get packed lunches made.

I up and showered and just about to go to Asda for the weekly shop then meeting a friend for coffee later , teens still in bed (surprise) and DH away to get an MOT for his works van

DH is away with his friends all day.

I am taking the DCs out to lunch at our local pizza place. They do a pizza with figs, goats cheese and honey which I am currently having a craving for.

Maybe a dvd later.

Planning to go out on my bike for a few hours. Looking for company - either DH or a friend but will go on my own if no one is up for it.

Up and fed the furry terrorists who will brook no delay with their breakfast. Back to bed with coffee and tea for DH. Bit of a cuddle and a chat.

Youngest DD back from Uni has a friend staying. They are off to Vietnam on Monday so expect some last minute running around from them - but they drive and have transport so it doesn't really involve me.

I am probably going to do a few hours overtime (from my bed - the best way to do OT !) then go and visit my parents who are getting to the age that requires a bit more attention. Not a duty. Just a bit more of an eye on them. DD will probably come to say goodbye before her travels.

I’m still in bed, DP and I are having a silent stand off over who is going to make the coffee but I’m going to lose as I need to take DS1 to football training shortly - damn!

I can hear the boys downstairs eating their cereal so at least they’ve sorted themselves out.

DS2 has got a party this afternoon but apart from that no plans. Think we might have a bit of a sort out of some cupboards and the sheds…

I am still in bed lazily pondering the second cup of coffee.

Today DH wants help with dicking about with his car (current Project) so I’ll give him a hand at some point. DD is off on a two-night school trip so I will be packing her up and dropping her off- she is VERY excited

I also need to do some laundry, I will probably play some games/do some Lego with DS, and I might do some gardening if there’s time. Greek salad for dinner later.

I need to go shopping but cant be bothered and am still in bed. Dh was up at 3am coughing so a disturbed night it was.
Need to pick up more wool for the blanket I'm crocheting and I want to get out for a walk.
Dd needs dropping at work at 12 and Ds will most likely play out. Not sure what to have for tea but I need to get back on the diet waggon so something healthy it shall be.

Up to London for the titanic exhibition with my brother and niece!

I’m still lying in bed, but I’m going to get up soon to jump in the shower. DS is away for the weekend so I’m going to the hairdressers then to a baby shower. I had had an horrendous few weeks with bereavements so looking forward to having some nice cake, a couple of drinks and a good catch up

I’ve woken up in our beautiful holiday house and I’m pretending to be lady of the manor. I’m hoping everyone else will want to go into the local town later so I can stay here and pretend it’s all mine.

Laid in bed, only one awake as usual.

Will have mcds for lunch as we do every Saturday 😁. Then off for 4th booster and a look around B&M for garden stuff.

Dp got his hair apt at 3, I will do the laundry and tackle the ironing pile.

Film tonight, hopefully a good one!

My post could be copied & pasted from my reply last week! Finished HIIT class, squeezing in food shop, then kids' matches & training back to back till 4 😭

I will be exhausted by then & feebly trying to tidy up the messy house.

Tomorrow tho, we've one match (only!) so meeting my brother & his kids for a cinema trip & pizza & I feel ridiculously enthusiastic!

I’ve brought a cup of tea back to bed (unusual for me) and am enjoying this little bit of self indulgence.
Lunch is going to be mussels, then I might watch a film this afternoon for a Saturday treat.

We all (me and 4 dc) all have a awful tummy bug so no one is going anywhere except the loo!!

Dh will be continuing with babies nursery and preparing the house I'm going for coffee and cake with a friend.

I am still very faintly covid+, and don't have anywhere I need to be, so at home it is. The house is a bit of a tip, but I might leave it as DH is v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y decorating our bedroom, so there are bedroom items scattered over the house which will make it look messy even if I do have a good tidy. None of us have seen Encanto yet, and we're looking forward to watching that today, but now there's a cat sick on the carpet waiting for my attention.

I am going to get my friend's dog and host her for the day. She is elderly, so needs a wee quite often. I will have her here so she can go for one in my garden when she pleases and enjoy her company.

We have a 17 year old elderly girl who has incontinence. Dog nappies have been a total game changer for us. Not sure if your friend knows about them (I found out via MN) but they are brilliant.

So sorry about you Dcat. It is such a loss.

And I hope that you soon feel a very great deal better.

I've got bloody bollocky covid, I don't feel ill but I've only just started a new job and could really do without it!
Other than that, it's sunny here and we've just had breakfast. I'm watching Lovejoy and Dd3 is talking to my sister on the phone.

Stupid dog got me up at 6am
Cleaning the house so my MIL doesn't think I'm a slattern!
DH and I are off for an overnight stay in country hotel later,sooo looking forward to it,haven't been away on our own for years.

I'm working a bit and bit of tidying while trying to think of what to do with the DC today. Dc8 wants nothing more than to spend the full day in front of a screen but I need them to tidy their room and to go out for a bit of fresh air and exercise. DH sleeping after a late night shift last night, he's working most of the day today.

Read in bed for a bit as that is my Saturday treat. On my second cup of tea now and have done the Wordle, Semantle, and Globle.
We will go for a coffee and a trip round Tesco in a bit then Hairdressers for a cut.
Visit to my mum after that.
Then takeaway and a film with DH.
