Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone doing today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, as usual. The only sounds I can hear atm are a wood pigeon in the tree at the bottom of my garden, some smaller birds chirping away, and my freezer humming to itself. Bliss!

There's a couple of wash loads to do, and last night's pots to wash , but other than that, I don't think we're doing much today. Dd2 wants to walk to Asda for a couple of Easter eggs and some things to decorate them with so we'll do that at some point.

I've written myself a to-do over the Easter holidays list, so will do a few things off there too.

Hopefully I'll get round to finishing crocheting the limbs of the t-rex I'm making for my friend's ds (it's for Christmas so no rush). Then I can assemble him once I remember where I put the stuffing!

Dd1's cooking something chickeny with stir fried veg and rice for tea 😋 I'll probably have a glass or two of wine with it.

I think it'll mostly be a steady, moochy, kind of day here, what about you lot?

I’m having some horrible skin growths removed from my stomach! I can’t get them removed on the NHS so have to pay privately. Can’t wait 😜

I had all these grand plans as today was my first full day off from work and/or travel since Christmas. I was meeting friends, going out for lunch, a walk...

Alas, what looked like a cold yesterday has now developed into what I think will be one of my recurrent chest infections. Haven't had one in over two years and I used to get 2-3 a year, so I guess I was due one. Feeling like shit so far, I keep drinking disgusting cold medicine in the hope that it goes away and I don't need to call the doctor for antibiotics like the last four times...

Testing negative so far on LFTs but I will go to the testing station after lunch one last time, as I start a 3-week work trip on Friday and we have a strict 7-day isolation rule here. Which makes today the last day I can get an official positive result before the whole thing becomes a mess if I test +ve later on.

Going to take my dog to a local town for the opening day of DHs croquet club and a picnic lunch, walk the dog round the gardens of the club.
After that, home and a visit to my parents and try to sort out the booking of my mums flight to Spain with us.
Tonight, who knows.

Im not feeling so good and recovering from a dental infection so easy going day here. May go to Morrisons or b&m to get some garden stuff, see what ds fancies doing but I have to keep taking naps as feel so run down. Keeping it very low key this weekend as the last month has been hectic.

Just dropped DH and DS1 at football class and now pottering around doing some chores before a midwife appointment to discuss plans for the eviction of overdue DS2. Lovely weather here, so we'll probably go to the park this afternoon, then burritos for dinner - they're DS1's favourites and can't see me having the energy to prep them for a while when the baby gets here!

Ramadan starts tomorrow so prepping for the next 30 days mainly. I have been really organised this year (makes a change) so not that much to do thankfully!

Have just written out my Quran reading planner, currently in the process of washing and ironing all my scarves and will put little chocolates and daily good deeds in my children’s Ramadan calendar soon.

DH and DS have gone to the market for dates, bananas, oats and honey to have for suhoor.

The last of the Eid gifts I ordered arrive today so I will wrap them later on when everyone is asleep.

Lovely post hearing about your plans wimmin. Cheered me up. I've dropped the eldest to football and my 6 yo is STILL asleep 😴 Think he's a bit under the weather. I'm just recovered from covid and still feeling a bit pants so will be a moochy start to the day. Trip to the botanic gardens later to see the magnolias. I can safely say I've reached middle age with that one! 😂

MeI, Oh and our LG are heading to the beach in our campervan to make bacon butties. It's cold but the sun is outgoing. Been a tough work week so need this. Filling the van just cost £100 tho .

Had the first lie in I've had in months - didn't get up to have breakfast with ds17 before he left for school. Pottering and general sorting things out day for me.

Left my teens in bed, DH pottering. Watching my youngest on his riding lesson. We’re going to pop in to see my cousin for a coffee afterwards. DH and I are having dinner tonight with my sister and BIL tonight.

There is washing to do, but I work in a school so am off for a fortnight now.

Sitting on the sofa with my dogs mumsnetting at the moment.

Going to have brunch at 12 (not out but I'm doing a 12-8 eating window).

I'm going to try to drag my elliptical/cross trainer thing inside and fit it in my living room.

Rearrange my spare room to turn it into an office ready to start a job next week.

Do some washing. Might do my batch cooking today so I have absolutely nothing to do tomorrow.

Then watch some Netflix.

I've done a body combat class, about to jump in the shower and then I'm painting our bathroom this afternoon

I’ve already walked DDog and taken miserable DH to the chiropractor (he’s had sciatica for weeks but got snotty then thoroughly unpleasant when I suggested he needed to go 6 weeks ago 😡)
I need to tidy up downstairs and clear the ironing pile but other than that I am not doing anything.

Dh has taken dc2 to ballet. Dc1 and I just built some lego whilst eating hot cross buns. This afternoon we're all going to a craft event at a local farm. After that we're going to see the inlaws for tea.

On my second coffee, a little late (no milk when we woke up) so a little behind already. Dd getting ready to go to a friends house, Dh next door doing a job for another friend. Once dd has gone I'll be cleaning and doing washing, emptying the toilets (boat life!) and filling up with water. After all that we need to move the boat and DH will likely start another job while Dd and I get her suitcase packed and room cleaned as she's away next week.

Not a lot to do but I'm not feeling great so I'll take it slowly and it'll probably take me all day! Hope everyone has a good one x

Just arrived in Zanzibar, we live in Tanzania so not quite as exciting as it sounds.
Off for a swim and lunch soon and then hopefully nothing much

We're going on a cruise today.
Taking my parents as my dad has recently had surgery for bowel cancer (hopefully successful) and got diagnosed with dementia the same week. It's been really shitty but I'm looking forward to a week away from life!

Morning all
Been to Aldi, made poached eggs on toasted muffins for breakfast.
DH is doing upstairs housework, I’m doing downstairs. We’ve 90s Club Anthems blaring as we do it (much to DD’s horror).
We’re off out to the pub at lunchtime to meet some pals and enjoy a drink and something to eat.
Ironing (DH) tonight and I need to do some work - the new tax year starts next week so the next four months will be spectacularly busy so I have overtime rotas to create and offer out.
DH is away on a course on Monday to Thur so needs to clear his car (he’s driving).
I also want to do HMRC P87 tax relief claims for us both for WFH expenses 19/20, 20/21 and 21/22 - we believe that money will cover our increase in energy bills this year.

Off to ikea. Me and my toddler are in the back of the car eating crisps, we’re very happy 😊
Then maybe a mooch around and somewhere for dinner. Home and visit my parents for a bit then a nice dinner this evening. I quite fancy a stew

First day of Easter holidays here and everyone is exhausted! I asked the children what they wanted to do today and they said sleep 😂

Teens are still in bed but awake, little ones are playing dens.

I'm feeling grotty, have a sprained ankle and have had no choice but to walk on it the last few days but am resting today.

So not much planned today. Just pottering around. I'd like to get in the garden this afternoon and get my broad beans outside they have been on the kitchen windowledge but they need supporting with stakes now so can go in the greenhouse.

Tacos for dinner later and then I think I'll have a lovely long bath this evening with a G&T and my kindle.

I was up around 7, took the dog out. Then up to the football club for 8.30 to set the goals/pitch up for DH's U11 team as they've had a match this morning. DS1 stayed at home in bed. DS2 helped set up, then we had bacon sandwiches and a coffee from the snack bar. I've been home a couple of hours and played with the dog. DSs are pestering for lunch; DH should be home any minute so I'll do sandwiches when he's back.

We are planning to do the village Easter egg hunt this afternoon, so that will be a good walk and some fresh air. Will probably take the dog with us too. Then home for a film and a chill later this afternoon. Not sure what's for dinner yet. DH and I have the second half of a film to watch when the DSs are in bed. We watched the first half earlier in the week.

DH is away at football all day tomorrow and DS1 has a basketball tournament but other than that it will be a lazy day tomorrow, although I need to get some housework done and some work as well if I have time.
