Father Daughter wedding dance songs?

I hate first dances, bad enough when it's the bride and groom but do we have to stand there watching mums and sons and dad's and daughters as well now. Blush

We had the first dance at our wedding, and then parents, bridesmaids etc were invited to join in next. Then everyone else pretty soon after.

I loved her first- Heartland

I love my life- Robbie Williams. Not strictly a dad/daughter dance song, but to me, it was about loving the life my parents had given me.

I had enough embarrassment dancing with my husband let alone other family members but as other posters above mentioned Heartland “I loved her first”

The second song at our wedding (after the official first dance) was the song my mum and dad had as their first dance. Everyone was on the dance floor and I danced with my dad. Didn’t want to do a whole big thing but it meant a lot to him

God, I've just had a look at those Heartland song lyrics. Unsurprisingly from the title, it's all about ownership isn't it. She was mine and now I'm letting you have her. Gross.

I used to work in the wedding industry and also think that song is grim. The name of song sums the whole thing up: just very possessive. It is a popular song though…
