Rest in peace Eleanor

14 week old Eleanor was killed at the hands of her father. Once again a catalogue of poor excuses given to hide the neglect and abuse of a newborn baby.

I don't know why I'm writing this. Just to acknowledge her really. I have to believe in the afterlife because I have to believe that she is safe and at peace now.

Rest in peace angel. I'm so very sorry you were so badly let down.

OP posts:

Poor wee thing. She was let down so badly by the people who should have been her protectors.

Hasselhoffsheadband · 30/03/2022 23:58

Jesus, have just read this story. 14 weeks old, I don't even have the words. How can this happen?

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 31/03/2022 00:10

I just can't fathom why people would do that. Why not just surrender the baby to social services??

I'm up feeding my 14 week old son and this story is just heart breaking.

MuggleMadness · 31/03/2022 00:18

Poor little love.

@DueyCheatemAndHow. I choose to 'believe' there's an afterlife, it's comforting. Sadly I know a good deal of people already there who will look after all the wee ones there far too soon xx

Peakypolly · 31/03/2022 00:28

Norwich Crown Court heard how the 14-week-old girl had been fed custard cream biscuits, lemon cheesecake, given squash to drink and left at home alone.

Heaven help society! How did no one notice and report this?

Fearitcatches · 31/03/2022 00:34

Thinking of you too Eleanor. I am so sorry you were not held and cherished, that you were surrounded with the love you deserved. I hope you are held in love and know peace now.

😮😮😮😮😮🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️💔💔💔💔💔💔💔yet again I bet no one intervened. Has nothing been learned since Victoria in London years ago.

AhhhHereItGoes · 31/03/2022 00:37

Poor soul.

Might be worth a trigger warning x

OnaBegonia · 31/03/2022 00:44

Many questions in this case, the mother concealed the pregnancy which surely should have resulted in additional support/involvement, did they have learning difficulties? none of this is normal behaviour.
Poor little soul.

Goodluckanddontfuckitup · 31/03/2022 00:55

Rest in peace little one. I believe in an afterlife too. My dear friend was a wonderful nursery nurse and I like to think she's taking gentle loving care of Eleanor somewhere.

irishfarmer · 31/03/2022 01:03

That poor little baby, like it sounds like the baby should have been taken off them but I suppose that is easy to say in hind sight

PyongyangKipperbang · 31/03/2022 01:18

Rest in Peace precious xxx

GrandTheftWalrus · 31/03/2022 01:40

I agree with all you and others have said, Duey. Absolutely heartbreaking, poor little scrap.

RustyShackleford3 · 31/03/2022 02:37

Lovely post OP, thank you, and yes, it absolutely does need talking about, but I agree with PP about it needing a trigger warning

AutumnVibes · 31/03/2022 03:09

Thanks for posting. I hadn’t seen this story, and like @Flickflak the inspector’s words really hit home. My 11 week old is snoring next to me and it makes me so sad to think this baby wasn’t cherished.

PugInTheHouse · 31/03/2022 06:00

Another article says SS signed them off 4 weeks prior to her death. Another very tragic case.

Well baby p's mother is on the verge of being released, so obviously not.
lollipoprainbow · 31/03/2022 07:59

Another one. It will just keep happening and happening ffs makes me so angry.

Forgothowmuchlhatehomeschoolin · 31/03/2022 08:09

Not heard about this...poor little angel. All those people that wouldngive their right arm for a baby and yet scum like this can treat an innocent little baby so appallingly

MichelleScarn · 31/03/2022 08:24

Exactly @LndnGrl and a recent thread on her release still had some apologists bloody bleating 'well she's done her time, can't be locked away forever'...

🤬🤬🤬
MichelleScarn · 31/03/2022 09:21

@LndnGrl I had to stop reading the baby p thread at this
If she has served her sentence and she poses no risk to the public, then there is absolutely no legitimate reason for keeping her in prison. Raab trying to prevent her release is nothing more than cynical political posturing designed to pander to public ignorance and vindictiveness.

Why is the argument always 'oh you're just ignorant and vindictive, to want to keep her locked up' ?!

MichelleScarn · 31/03/2022 09:23

And huge apologies @DueyCheatemAndHow for thread derail.
