What clothes do you find sexy on a man?

Whenever I see a bloke in a pair of these green utilitarian/combat type trousers (the ones with leg pockets) I get a total flutter on. I think it's the potential of a strong capable man wielding large power tools that drives me nuts. (Absolutely cannot watch Rich Miller walking around The Great Pottery Show Down studio without breaking into a hot sweat....) GrinGrin

Am I alone in this? Is it menopausal madness? Someone reassure me that I'm not the only one....

Proper work trousers, black with holster pockets, not green! And steel toe cap boots. Luckily, DH wears this for work every day!
Or a nice suit with a waistcoat, particularly in navy.

Verbena87 · 01/04/2022 21:37

@LadyHooHa your list is hilarious, and glorious. Can’t tell if/how much you’re mocking yourself.

Capable hands that look strong and well-used, the sort that ladder your tights by mistake.

Shapely bum under worn in jeans.

Hefty wool jumpers.

LadyHooHa · 01/04/2022 21:51

@Verbena87

Tragically, I am serious. I'm also clutching my pearls at the idea of a horny-handed son of toil laddering my stockings. Shock

Not suits unless it’s Patrick Grant wearing it Wink

Other thank that, not sure - casual but clean/well laundered I think. Quite like cargo shorts and long sleeved t with the sleeves pushed up. Timberlands.

Pinchofnom · 01/04/2022 22:07

A really good suit
Monk strap shoes or shoe boots

pictish · 02/04/2022 08:58

I’m surprised by how many here still rate a suit.
What does it represent to you?

pictish · 02/04/2022 09:01

Genuine ask by the way…I don’t hold much stock by ‘smart’. I think smart is an outdated concept of worth.
What else does a suit say about the wearer?

Titsflyingsouth · 02/04/2022 09:02

@pictish

As mentioned, I prefer workman/lumberjack chic. However, when I do like a man in a suit (hellloooo Rege Jean Page!!) it's usually because it symbolises a man who is groomed and takes care of himself. That clean, sharp look is very sexual...

Patrick Grant is LUSH 😍

Groomed and takes care of himself. Fair enough. Those could be attributes. I assume that polished men seek similarly polished women. I am not that woman, being rather more bohemian (shall we say) in lifestyle. I therefore discount the polished and sleek as a potential romantic or sexual partner at first encounter, owing to incompatibility. I’m also highly dubious of the notion that a suit represents decency. It doesn’t.

coffeencrochet · 02/04/2022 11:20

suits aren't daily attire so it can show a different side to a personal, not necessarily that they're a polished and perfect person. plus depending on the person, a suit/smart shirt and trousers can highlight all the right places Wink

pictish · 02/04/2022 11:30

So does a t-shirt? More so I’d say. Suits are quite rigid with shoulder pads and deceptive tailoring. You can’t hide in a t-shirt. A life well lived is in more evidence in casual attire imo.
Also ties…what’s the point of them?

Lessstressedhemum · 02/04/2022 11:37

Kilt, best with boots but really kilt in any form.

Nice, well ironed shirt with the sleeves rolled up to show well formed forearms.

streamee · 02/04/2022 11:45

@Jongy

Army uniforms.

Expensive suits.

Agree!
astorsback · 02/04/2022 11:48

Agree with most of these (apart from the grey hoody/sweats).

For me, it's Work Rigger Boots, plus Site Trousers and also proper Motorcycle outfits (so bike boots, leather trousers and jacket).

SayCheeseBoris · 02/04/2022 11:56

@Westfacing

Did someone say Y-fronts? Hmm
Yes. Yes they did.

Envy < not envy.

CailleachGranda · 02/04/2022 14:19

A nice navy suit and white shirt. Not fussed about the tie

White shirt on its own but with the sleeves rolled up. Actually the act of rolling them up is very sexy in itself

A kilt with a thick jumper and rolled down socks and big clumpy boots

lap90 · 02/04/2022 14:28

Slim fit suit.

To tie him to the bed
LadyHooHa · 02/04/2022 18:08

To tie him to the bed

@SleepingStandingUp I like your style Grin.

@pictish for me, suits represent money (because I don't care for cheap suits - only tailor-made ones) and power, both of which are sexy. They are also suggestive of someone who is generally clean and clad in expensive undergarments too, which also helps. There's also something very 'let's get down to it'-ish about a man divesting himself of his tie.

Mmmmmmmmm.

SmellyOldOwls · 02/04/2022 18:14

I didn't think I was really into men in uniform until I went to a summer fair type thing and the army had a stand at it and I was all overcome Blush

SmellyOldOwls · 02/04/2022 18:16

I'm also not really into suits and groomed men. I prefer country types, gardeners with muddy knees or farmers are appealing.

Phyllis321 · 02/04/2022 18:29

Just kidding.

HomeHomeInTheRange · 02/04/2022 18:43

Well fitting genuine original Levi’s on a well fit body

Fire fighter uniforms and trawler gear: heavy duty, lots of clips etc.

Lycra on fit cyclists cheers up a traffic jam, but Lycra in any other context is a turn off.

Floppy linen shirts, worn ‘just right’ with the sleeves casually and messily rolled up, a couple of buttons undone.

Army does nothing for me. Give me Navy or RAF any day tho. Must be the blue!
