What clothes do you find sexy on a man?

Titsflyingsouth · 30/03/2022 19:28

Whenever I see a bloke in a pair of these green utilitarian/combat type trousers (the ones with leg pockets) I get a total flutter on. I think it's the potential of a strong capable man wielding large power tools that drives me nuts. (Absolutely cannot watch Rich Miller walking around The Great Pottery Show Down studio without breaking into a hot sweat....) GrinGrin

Am I alone in this? Is it menopausal madness? Someone reassure me that I'm not the only one....

Thank You

Love a well fitted suit with a white shirt . I was in heaven in Milan ! I also find kilts very sexy .

SomethingToldTheWildGeese · 31/03/2022 10:48

@pictish

Um…kilt, hiking boots, big woolly jumper, beard. Checked shirts, outdoorsy pockety trousers, paint and sawdust, mud, natural tan, cool t-shirts, combat shorts.

I like them active, capable, outdoorsy, good taste in music. Personality and individuality. If his clothes reflect that, I’ll like it.

Turn-right-offs include polo shirts, sports gear, pointy shoes, tight t-shirts, distressed jeans, prominent logos and labels.
I’m not fussed for suits either.

This... pretty much. More specifically...

Well worn/loved brandless clothes, made from natural fibres.

...the more layers, the better!

I had two joiners fit my new kitchen. Twenties, one blond and the other dark, both very fit. Wore black cargo shorts, boots and thick socks pushed down. T-shirts and tanned skin. I had to sit in the room with them for two whole days in case they had any queries about the cupboards etc. They also swept up and vacuumed and were very well mannered. OMG. "Young man..!" Grin

nearlyspringyay · 31/03/2022 11:38

Rolled up shirt sleeves. Not short. Rolled up.

Titsflyingsouth · 31/03/2022 13:27

@BaggiesBride - omg, don't get me started on Timberland boots!

I do take everyone's point about a well cut classic suit. Saw a picture of Rege Jean Page sporting similar and had to lie down in a darkened room for half an hour...

@TheMoreYouKnow

I bought my DH the soft tartan pj bottoms for Cmas. More for my benefit 😁

Smart (as in clean, well made and not creased) plain joggers (black or grey), clean trainers, white t-shirt and cap

CharSiu · 31/03/2022 14:39

Cricket whites.

I had known DH for a while, we had inter departmental cricket matches and it was the first of the season. He turned up all Brideshead revisited looking in full cricket whites with his college colours on his cricket jumper. He looked absolutely beautiful. I remember my attempt at flirting asking him where Aloysius was, the bear in the series.

Jaxinthebox · 31/03/2022 14:52

A lovely fitting suit.

A man in a kilt with a 'well turned leg'

A nicely snug pair of jeans with a nice arse.

Basically anything my OH wears when we go out out, he looks and smells amazing and I always feel a flutter.

Jaxinthebox · 31/03/2022 14:56

Although that said OH wears 'work clothes/uniform' those work trousers with the many pockets, boots, and a t shirt in navy and he looks super sexy.

ITs the combination of strong, capable, worky then when he dresses up when we go out.

oh my, Ive came over all warm n fuzzy

midsomermurderess · 31/03/2022 16:23

Someone mentioned cricket whites. Oh, yes, especially once they are a bit rumpled and sweaty. You'd have to be a very unattractive man not to be elevated, even if only slightly, by those.

Otherpeoplesteens · 31/03/2022 16:41

Cricket whites show jock strap VPL in lurid detail!

TheSmallClangerWhistlesAgain · 31/03/2022 21:49

OP would love my DH. He lives in tatty combats and band t-shirts.

The second time I met him, he'd got a black and white jersey shirt thing with a full-length zip on. He'd got a pint of beer in each hand and somehow used his tongue and mouth to grab the wayward zip and pull it up. It's not the 1990s any more so I don't get to see this sort of sight any more.

I like kilts, but only if paired with a jumper or t-shirt in a nice rough and rugged style. It's sort of the same with tuxedos, which leave me cold, but give me a man being a bit rebellious and alluringly don't-care in a slinky black suit with a partially unbuttoned black shirt, and I'm interested.

StrangeAddiction · 31/03/2022 22:08

Nice slim fit shirt, few buttons undone, sleeves rolled up to about the elbow and a nice pair of trousers and belt

dubyalass · 31/03/2022 22:59

I can't stand joggers, they remind me of a former colleague who wore them and regularly fiddled with his bits. Ugh. Skinny jeans also a no on the fellas.

A well-fitting suit (pref a waistcoat on a big bloke, skinny bloke I prefer just shirt and jacket) is a thing of joy, but no pointy shoes thanks. And yes, it's all about the forearms. Seriously dislike short-sleeved shirts but a rolled up sleeve is v sexy.

I have a real thing for triceps when a man in a t-shirt puts his hands behind his head. Maybe it's because you get a blast of pheromones or something but jeez

And whoever mentioned shorts with thick socks pushed down above boots - hell yes! This was a favourite look among my male friends when I was a teen in the 90s, usually some scruffy army boots or similar, and I still love it to this day. Does need a well-turned leg though.

Why do do many men look minging?
They make very little effort.
I find in general women look much better and make much more effort. I’m not talking about plastering yourself in make up and see tan. Just the average woman versus the average man.
How many men let themselves go or slob about in shitty joggers and trainers. Even at best a lot of them wear ill fitting jeans and a crap polo shirt.

blobby10 · 01/04/2022 14:28

Along with a suit, I find a waistcoat particularly sexy - doesn't matter if its under the jacket or not so long as the buttons aren't straining around an expanded stomach Grin.

But I do love a nicely fitting pair of jeans with a plain black or white T shirt preferably just a tad snug across the pecs! Jeans cannot be skinny or baggy or low slung or faded or cropped - but must fit nicely around the bum which is, of course. toned and pert!

Lots of women dress badly too.
Gonnagetgoing · 01/04/2022 14:31

I used to find classic Levis 501s and white tshirts sexy on a man.

And men in suits with crisp white shirts (unbuttoned later).

Also like some sports wear (more trendy) with trainers.

Gonnagetgoing · 01/04/2022 14:32

I like a man who has a good sense of style, knows what suits him and wears it well. Doesn't have to cost a lot either.

SnottyLottie · 01/04/2022 14:40

Tweed and Wellingtons.

I think I might have a farmer fetish 😆

SleepingStandingUp · 01/04/2022 21:15

OP would love my DH. He lives in tatty combats and band t-shirts.. That would work for me 😂what's on his feet? I like proper rock boy boots. I can see why his tongue skills got you interested @TheSmallClangerWhistlesAgain

LadyHooHa · 01/04/2022 21:24

Attractive:

Savile Row suit, and a tie. Black brogues. Shirt with double cuff.

Pinks.

Long cashmere coats.

Tweeds are ok.

Unattractive:

A gap between socks and trousers.
Jeans.
Trainers.
"Leisurewear" of any description (including jogging trousers, hoodies, polyester items).
Cargo type things.
T-shirts.
Pyjamas.
Lycra.
White socks. Novelty socks.
Anything that has a logo on it of any description whatsoever. Ditto anything with a sports team on it.
Baseball hats.
Workmen clothes.

I'm not fussy or anything.
