It's Sunday. I'm bored! Do you have any celebrity friends as in close enough to have them on Watsapp etc. Come on give us a clue, maybe some MNers will even be brave enough to tell us names!

Do you live near Fish? If so then you live near me too. I was on One of his albums covers when I was wee. I don’t message him but we chat if we bump into each other down the street

XmeansX · 27/03/2022 21:17

Idris Elba and David Tennant when he was Dr Who.

Yes my uncle is a famous actor and writer. Works mostly for BBC but has done ITV also where most people would recognise him from. Very proud of him, we have a family whatsapp group and he sends the odd update on what he's filming and when he wins awards etc. Unbelievable talent but he really he just a normal guy

WirlyWillowtree · 27/03/2022 21:17

A very famous musician lived in our small town, but I wasn’t into music, I’d bump into him in shops and around the place and we’d stop pass the time of day etc as had kids with us of similar age, originally met in the park playground. There was an event in the town and I went with a new boyfriend and had a lovely chat with this musician and new boyfriend was like wtf, you know famous musician, and there’s me going, no, that’s not famous musician. BUT it was, lol,

I've named-changed for this, but I would be considered a celebrity.

NCsoyoudontknow · 27/03/2022 21:20

Yes. I had a 5yr relationship with one. Met him online and relationship was mostly online, but met up in person several times when he was here, so I know he is real (before you ask). It was a very unconventional relationship, I knew many of his secrets. Also knew I was not the only woman in his life, but I was ok with that. He was very kind and caring. Always took time out to help me and talk to me about what was going on in my life no matter how busy he was. And he was a busy busy Hollywood (not an actor, but famous in his field with incredibly famous best friend & partner). Still chat to him every now and then. Main thing I'll say is how much he couldn't stand Hollywood and the fakeness of it all. He was on the road working and filming 45+ weeks of the year. I never understood why he even bothered to own a house. He never wanted to go on an actual holiday because he was so sick of travelling

This thread has prompted me to put Kayleigh on my cheesy power ballads playlist. A banger of the genre!

For some reason Stephen Tomkinson immediately came to mind!

Can you give us clues? I'm shattered and full of cold so I could do with something to brighten up my evening!
ThomasinaGallico · 27/03/2022 21:29

I know everyone says this about people who have died, but Heath was honestly the nicest guy...easygoing, non judgemental and fun. Not Hollywoody at all, in my experience anyway.

Heath Ledger was such a sad case. I believe his death was down to a combination of depression and prescription drugs, not addiction but bad prescribing. He was never happy in the Hollywood meat machine. Sad

If you've name changed can you not just say?

Where are you on a sliding scale of Timmy Mallet to Angelina Jolie?

GoldenThready · 27/03/2022 21:29

I've asked my husband three words to use Grin... he said "woman", "hair" and "funny". Blush

SouperNoodle · 27/03/2022 21:30

My dad works in theatres and often meets actors and befriends them. Apparently Colleen Nolan has a heart of gold and everyone at the theatre loved her. In between her scenes, she got bored in the wings (side of stage) so would sweep up/dust things 😂

You're Mrs Hinch aren't you!?!
GotToNamechangeForThis123 · 27/03/2022 21:31

A friend of mine had a fling with a very famous It Girl from 90's. She told him one fay that he'd made her pregnant and that she'd had an abortion. Then she made him sign a non-disclosure agreement. He worked in the media, so basically would never have worked again had he told anyone.

I asked DH and his guess was Jo Brand?
Thursday37 · 27/03/2022 21:35

Husband does, he used to work in TV and Radio production inc shows like Big Breakfast etc and he shared houses then with a few big names now. He is still in touch with some people from that era (90’s).
His social media is way more interesting than mine!

Snoopdogsbitofposh · 27/03/2022 21:36

My brother is good friends with Martin Compston. He's fantastic- really funny and genuine. Loves his football and is very very proud to be Scottish. Tiny though- absolutely tiny

catwomando · 27/03/2022 21:37

Yes.

FairWindClearSailing · 27/03/2022 21:40

Sarah Kendal?

If so, your hair really was epic on Taskmaster (and you were of course very funny, especially on the moving the plates task) 😀
