Mid summer! BBQs and time in the garden to celebrate as an adult - similar as a child but with the addition of bouncy castles outside! Presents every 6 months. Can combine birthday with a summer holiday.

Pinkbonbon · 23/03/2022 19:08

Mid November. All the Harry Potter films used to come out in or around that time as a kid so I loved that.

April and falls on the anniversary of The Hillsborough Disaster. I clearly remember my 11th birthday being overshadowed by the events of that day and every birthday since has been tinged with sadness that so many innocent people died on my special day.

Buttons0x · 23/03/2022 19:17

Christmas Eve, loved it as a child and still love it now, don't think my parents enjoyed the cost tho 😂

DramaAlpaca · 23/03/2022 19:20

Early summer. It's nice now, but back in the day sitting two A level papers on my 18th birthday wasn't fun.

Icouldabeenalawyer · 23/03/2022 19:37

July, but not summer hols. I love it 😆

phrow · 23/03/2022 19:54

April. The weather is usually brilliant and I always take the day off so I can just do whatever takes my fancy.

NinaDefoe · 23/03/2022 19:56

Summer ☀️

Very early January. I hate it. Everyone is skint and hungover and doesn't want to celebrate. I hate seeing Xmas trees still up (mine comes down before New Year) and I can never think of any present ideas as it's just been Xmas - then no presents for basically a whole year. Shite.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 23/03/2022 20:08

Start of July. Wimbledon finals are almost always on the weekend of my birthday. Usually have a BBQ and people go inside to watch it. It’s a nice time to have a birthday.

LucyLoopyLu · 23/03/2022 20:30

October. Mine is always in half term week 😁

KuwaitCanWait · 23/03/2022 20:34

January. Not ideal as it’s always freezing and I’m never off work (teacher) but it’s MY day! I can justify spending at the Sales and it really brightens up an otherwise dreary month.

garlictwist · 23/03/2022 20:37

I wouldn't say I love my birthday but it's a t a good time of year. Late June so exactly half way to Christmas, usually good weather, never had exams on my birthday as they'd always finished by then and it's a good time of year to go on holiday as it's still term time.

APurpleSquirrel · 23/03/2022 20:48

January - I like it because any presents I didn't get at Christmas I can have for my birthday & any birthday money can be spent in the sales.
Plus as a child, kids could always come to my parties as there were no holidays & now it gives me something to look forward to after the come down of Christmas.

HazelBite · 23/03/2022 20:49

December 2nd, in recent years I have made sure all my Xmas decs are up and invite friends around for a pre Xmas get together.
On a few occasions I have gone to NY for thanksgiving and my Birthday I hope we can manage it this year.

elp30 · 23/03/2022 21:01

My birthday is in July and I hated it as a child.

Back then, when a child had a birthday, the class would made a big deal about it. The birthday child got to be first in the queue to have lunch, pick a game to play at recess, and be exempt from homework for the day.

Because my birthday was in the summer, I didn't get treated to the same fun. Plus, most of the children were on holiday for my birthday so no one came to my house to play or have cake.

As an adult, I love my birthday being in summer because you can have barbecues on the beach, laze around in the summer sunshine...

JassyRadlett · 23/03/2022 21:03

Early January. It's a bit rubbish in this country as the weather is peak awfulness and every fucker is either skint, dieting or doing dry January.

It was a lovely birthday in my home country, in the Southern Hemisphere.

Deadringer · 23/03/2022 21:07

April, it often falls during the Easter holidays, (it does this year) so i like that about it.

MistySkiesAfterRain · 23/03/2022 21:08

Bank hol in May. Half way ish between Christmases. Perfect.

Benjaminsniddlegrass · 23/03/2022 21:09

Pretty much midsummer - I love my birthday but think I would regardless as I just love birthdays, mine & anyone I care about, basically any opportunity to celebrate. June is a bit hit & miss weather wise which can be a bugger but as others have said nicely placed halfway from Christmas

Lostmyway86 · 23/03/2022 21:10

Early December and I've always loved it. Far enough away from Xmas to not have joint presents but right on the festive season, when everyone is generally cheery and up for a party!

DustyMaiden · 23/03/2022 21:11

It’s today, the weather was lovely.

LabraDabraDoo · 23/03/2022 21:11

Today!

It’s a lovely time to have a birthday. Daffodils are smiling and all the hope of Spring in the air. I can’t remember a birthday when the sun hasn’t shone. And today ( my 22x2nd) has been glorious. I even enjoyed my first legal birthday lunch out in three years!

LabraDabraDoo · 23/03/2022 21:12

Aah, DustyMaiden happy birthday fellow 23/3er 💐
