Despite how thin Kate is, her face is lovely and pumped up. I want the name of her doctor! Great work re the fillers.

@Delatron

It’s an interesting discussion as to why we (some of us) want to halt the signs of ageing.

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Botox and I don’t think it’s the perfect solution. However, currently just had some done for the first time ina year and a half and it’s nice not to be distracted by my frown lines and crows feet in the mirror. Because that was all I’d look at. Mind you, now the wrinkles are less I’m focusing on my slackening jaw line. It never ends. I think being happy in your skin is the goal. I fully accept that I’m vain and am trying to cling on to youth. And probably failing. I’d feel even more pressure if I was constantly photographed and plastered all over the papers.

I feel the same, I have regular botox but now I’m in my fifties the jaw and neck is my issue now, seriously considering a lower face lift, I want my old jawline back. You are right it is a never ending battle and one we can’t win at really unless we have a royal bank balance. I wish I didn’t care about my ageing face, life would be much easier and cheaper.

Gawd - I thought that one went without saying Grin

Well, it obviously pays to have it done in that sense!

For the record, I haven't had anything done ..yet. I suppose I am still relatively young though and my boring lifelong, clean living is hopefully paying off. Some days, I wake up looking less fresh faced than others if I've had a bad night's sleep, for example. I don't know if I will end up really wrinkly based on older family members. I am expecting jowls one day. I am a lot more comfortable with the idea of a full face lift instead of injectables but it's hard to say right now.

Soffit · 24/03/2022 17:06

My beautician friend is botox goddess to the London celebs so I do get something of a unique insight into how evangelical die hard botoxer can be Blush

Soffit · 24/03/2022 17:13

We talk about being nice about others who have botox but please spare a thought for the people administering all those procedures. They get a lot of flack, it is a much higher stress job than ever before as every single client has the highest expectations while trying to pay the least for it. My friend has literally been reduced to a blubbering mess on far too many occasions. If a client is unhappy with the result (especially if they are new to the procedures and haven't read up on what to expect and how it settles down) they are unlikely to vent to their partner or friends (who often don't know they are having anything done). They often take it out on the person who has tried their best to give them what they asked for and make further unreasonable demands and threats.

Franklin12 · 24/03/2022 17:20

Soffit - very well said. I go to a top London Clinic and read around the subject. This clinic is known for their light touch and not popular with some - Russians apparently who like a heavy more 'done' look!).

When someone is coming towards my face with a needle I need to be confident I have researched the best I can. That will cost. I know London wont be cheap but I dont mind. Not patted myself on the back that I got a Groupon offer!

Tippexy · 24/03/2022 18:24

@Snoopsnoggysnog

Meghan - definitely nose job
Yes, it’s well known she’s had her nose done.

She could always change her job to something more useful of course. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Knightsbridge? It could be the same one Wink
Soffit · 24/03/2022 19:45

@TatianaBis - that is all she has ever done. At the start, it was all air kisses and lavish gifts from clients. Ever since the high tech beauty scene properly took off, it has descended into constant rudeness and lack of appreciation.

Soffit · 24/03/2022 19:47

@Gonnagetgoing

I hate to say this but Meghan is naturally very pretty. Kate is attractive but I think Meghan has the edge.
Meghan has had a lot of work done, especially since she returned to LA. It goes well beyond rhinoplasty. They start young in LA. Think about Bella Hadid being taken to the surgeon for a nose job by her mum at age 14. Even she regrets being given the freedom to have it as she feels that she would have grown into her face over time.
freedaym · 24/03/2022 19:50

you hadn't noticed - she's had LOADS done. it's spot the original bits.

I thought it was just a nose tweak, what else has been altered?

freedaym · 24/03/2022 19:52

Although noses/faces do change when you're an adult vs teenager. Honestly if I become famous people would compare now to then & say I had lots of work. My nose has thinned & fits my face better & my podgy round face has slimmed down a lot.

A580Hojas · 24/03/2022 20:02

I think she's absolutely gorgeous and looks her age if not a little older. It is a problem about the scrawny look when you are very thin - whoever said it first (Katherine Hepburn, Catherine DeNeuve?) was quite right.

Momijin · 24/03/2022 20:29

How can people not think Kate is beautiful? As is Meghan. But anyway, it isn't a beauty contest so dont know why people are commenting and judging.

YellowAndGreenToBeSeen · 24/03/2022 20:35

I just don’t. I think Meghan is but Kate does nothing for me.

I can see she’s ordinarily attractive and well groomed but beautiful? Nope.

Sophia Loren, Helena Christiansen, Linda Evangelista, Kate Blanchete, Alesha Dixon (genuinely breathtaking in the flesh) and many others are beautiful in my eyes.

freedaym · 24/03/2022 20:37

I'm not sure either are beautiful. Kate is very attractive & well groomed. Meghan is very pretty. Beautiful to me is Christy Turlington, Angelina Jolie etc

I’m not sure everyone does no

Other women yes and they are attractive, but the royal part helps with overall attraction too

AbsentmindedWoman · 24/03/2022 22:21

She has always been strong and warrior like with a good height to show off fine clothing but even her graduation pictures shown a friendly, mumsy sort of young woman

A friendly, mumsy sort of young woman? Hmm

God, how sneery.

It is nasty to make bitter little digs at another woman's looks. Why are you compelled to?

SenoraMiasma · 24/03/2022 23:33

I think Kate looked so healthy and strong in that college picture. It is telling that an image of a strong, healthy woman is deemed overweight or Mindy when actually she represented a very positive image.

I think pictures of Meghan also showed a healthy woman. I thought both had just got their make up in line with the harsh cameras of the paparazzi. But either way, whilst their styles are different I like both of their clothing choices.

SenoraMiasma · 24/03/2022 23:34

*mumsy

Billandben444 · 25/03/2022 07:07

I don't think either of them is beautiful. Meghan is pretty while Kate is attractive and her longer torso and legs makes her easier 'to dress'. On this trip she's emulated HMQ by wearing bright block colours to stand out in the crowd but I don't think her wardrobe's been a total success - the pink glittery thing and the white trouser suit were a bit off IMO and has everything just been a tad too tight?

Noisyneighneigh · 25/03/2022 07:34

Megan is very pretty and cute. I thought she looked amazing on her wedding day. And she would still be pretty without the nose job but wouldn't have that Hollywood edge. Comparing them both is like comparing apples and oranges.

I think people say Kate is stunning because of her overall effect, the face, clothes, hair and figure. She is particularly lovely when she smiles in my opinion. I do say she is beautiful but I can see objectively she isn't quite in the same league as someone like Doutzen Kroes for example.
I think a quote about Marianne Dashwood in Sense and Sensibility describes Kate well. "Her face was so lovely that when in the common cant of praise she was called a beautiful girl..."

freedaym · 25/03/2022 07:39

I know it's very unpopular because there is a strong belief that slim alone is by default amazing but I think Kates shape makes clothes often not work so well despite being tall & slim. Things that sit high & highlight her amazing waist look great.
