If the world was full of clones of you

And no other humans. And more clones hatch every 9 months so you don't need to reproduce...

Would the world be a good place or doomed?

Gotajobthrunepotism · 20/03/2022 19:01

Absolutely doomed. I have practically zero practical skills.

Imissmoominmama · 20/03/2022 19:03

It would be fun- lots of hiking, camping, pets and water sports. Nice food too.

The bills wouldn’t get paid on time though.

MacavityTheDentistsCat · 20/03/2022 19:04

It would bumble along, not quite doomed but also never achieving its potential. (Mind you, it would have the grandest of plans in place for when it did - complete with copious books on self-improvement.)

Suzi888 · 20/03/2022 19:16

It would be quiet, clean, tidy and there would lots of animals since I don’t eat them.
They would probably start eating me though. Hmm

So then there would just be animals and peace.

LadyFlumpalot · 20/03/2022 19:18

Nothing would get done as every time any of the clones started there would be something shiny to distract them, or they'd remember a funny story from a decade ago and forget the purpose of the conversation.

Partyatnumber10 · 20/03/2022 19:21

It would be quite nice, peaceful and calm. People would generally be kind and treat each other well. The new baby clones would be well cared for I think. Not sure enough would get done though, especially the practical and physical jobs. Plus we might struggle to form a government because I'm not a natural leader.

LollyPollyPop · 20/03/2022 19:23

They'd be calling each other a Cunt every 5 mins...that's about it really 🤷‍♀️

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 20/03/2022 19:41

Oh god, it would be awful! Lots of loud, overly dramatic people who all want to be the centre of attention all the time and have virtually no practical skills. However, that last point wouldn't matter as we'd kill each other in full-blown diva strops long before that became a problem.

itisyourbirthdayKelly · 20/03/2022 19:49

Fucking doomed.

I’m a self serving arsehole who hates the world. Society would collapse because we would all be hiding in our houses doing our best to avoid the world and other people.

Wouldn’t last a day.

RenegadeMrs · 20/03/2022 20:11

I have a (misplaced) sense of optimism in my ability to do just about anything (excluding sports) so we would be ploughing on convinced everything would be fine while the world burned.

We'd be doomed. But we would not admit it.

Finlandandsweden · 20/03/2022 20:44

Doomed but in a nice way. I'd be too busy looking for fairies to notice that it was all falling apart.

AllKnowingGerbil · 20/03/2022 21:44

To the people asking about sex options - it's either a clone or fashion a "Wilson" style companion I'm afraid.

you mean, like Lady Falkender? not allowed, surely?
RoyKentsChestHair · 20/03/2022 21:54

@PutinsMicropenis

I think it would be OK. I'm quite a fixer/thinker/doer so the species would survive but they would all tend to be a bit of a loner and solitary in their outlook - so lots of grumpy women spread out in their single homes dotted around the countryside. Probably tending their animals but not overly bothered about the other clones and definitely getting annoyed when more hatch and also need homes!
Grin Sounds a lot like my world too!

I reckon it would be a nice relaxing place to be but nobody would want to lead anything so nothing would get done in a hurry.

The food would be amazing and there would probably be an obesity crisis, but nobody would be mean about anyone else and we’d all encourage each other to go out for walks and do yoga. But then retreat to our own place for some peace and quiet and kitty cuddles.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 20/03/2022 21:56

Doomed. Everyone would be too focused on their hobbies to get the more useful bits in life done.

AllKnowingGerbil · 20/03/2022 21:57

Like Tom Hanks in Castaway @herecomesthsun!

OP posts:
Wrinklepicker · 20/03/2022 21:58

It would be lovely, and kind, and fun, but a bit of an organisational shambles.

llamakoala · 20/03/2022 22:01

Doomed. Shortages of books, tea, and chocolate

Longcovid21 · 20/03/2022 22:05

Schools and other institutions wouldn't exist. We would all be hippies floating around doing a lot of thinking.

dipdye · 20/03/2022 22:06

Yeah, pretty good.

I'm well behaved

Pieceofpurplesky · 20/03/2022 22:07

It would be messy, erratic and often moody. It would also be very creative and some amazing poems/stories/art would be produced.

BananaPlants · 20/03/2022 22:09

It would be a very kind world, with sunbathing and a bit of gardening going on. We would play with the baby clones and animals and go for walks and just enjoy being. We would all go to bed very early, so there wouldn’t be any nightlife.

trilbydoll · 20/03/2022 22:10

Like several pp I'm not remotely practical so stuff would quickly stop working.

I do however like to follow rules so I think it would be a fairly chilled out world with no hint of rule breaking.

RightOnTheEdge · 20/03/2022 22:11

It would be a peaceful, polite friendly world where everyone was mostly kind to each other, but nothing would get done because we'd all be busy procrastinating and if anything broke it would stay broken because I have zero skills in the way of fixing things and we would just find it too difficult to bother with and just sigh and give up.

Saltyandvinegar · 20/03/2022 22:12

A monumental fucking catastrophe.
