If the world was full of clones of you

And no other humans. And more clones hatch every 9 months so you don't need to reproduce...

Would the world be a good place or doomed?

PenguindreamsofDraco · 20/03/2022 17:25

How could we all be right, all the time? Confused Grin

PlinkPlankPlunk · 20/03/2022 17:35

Oh interesting! I think it would actually be ok

I am a bit of a generalist (Jack of all trades, master of none, sort of thing) so there would be plenty scope for people to be able to do different things and individuals to get good at different occupations and skills. I am happy to be in charge or just to follow orders , so hopefully there wouldn’t be aggro or falling out. I like things to look nice so there would be plenty of beauty as everyone would feel the same.

DustyMaiden · 20/03/2022 17:42

I once asked DH if the world would be better full of people like him or people like me.

NoWordForFluffy · 20/03/2022 17:43

@PutinsMicropenis

I think it would be OK. I'm quite a fixer/thinker/doer so the species would survive but they would all tend to be a bit of a loner and solitary in their outlook - so lots of grumpy women spread out in their single homes dotted around the countryside. Probably tending their animals but not overly bothered about the other clones and definitely getting annoyed when more hatch and also need homes!
Yeah. It'd be very similar in a world full of me! 🤣🤣
MadMadMadamMim · 20/03/2022 17:48

It would be blissfully quiet. No one would blast music out, or annoy anyone else. We'd potter around in our own little spaces not bothering anyone.

We'd go to work, make a good and efficient job of it, interact cheerfully with each other and tolerate very little bullshit. Then we'd come home, craft, wander about the garden and happily go to bed early with a book.

The world would be a better place.

AnotherPoster · 20/03/2022 17:52

Doomed I think. Although I am not a warmonger by any means I do have a hell of a temper. Someone would lose it eventually and do something stupid.

britneyisfree · 20/03/2022 17:55

Who would I have sex with? There would be a lot of masturbation, gin and cannabis I presume.

Who would write all the books and feature in films. It sounds like hell tbh.

WallaceinAnderland · 20/03/2022 17:59

Oh no, that won't do at all. I have zero medical knowledge so any number of ways the clones could die in agony.

Also, no sex? Unless it's with myself? Way too narcissistic for me.

NaiceHamAndHugs · 20/03/2022 18:02

A world with anxiety, but fucking magnificent music! Nice.

hellcatspangle · 20/03/2022 18:03

We would eat well, and be fairly well organised. But we would shout a lot.

MrsAvocet · 20/03/2022 18:06

Terrible.
Nothing would ever get finished.
We'd have loads of good ideas but lose interest and move onto something else before the previous task was complete, and nobody would ever put the bins out.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 20/03/2022 18:11

@Ineedastyleicon

Omg, nothing would get done! We would all irritate the hell out of each other!
Ineedastyleicon is already my clone. Grin
maddiemookins16mum · 20/03/2022 18:12

Well there would be no stray cats for a start.

Gingernaut · 20/03/2022 18:13

Doomed I can't drive for starters - all means of travel and transport would grind to a halt.

crispmidnightpeace · 20/03/2022 18:32

No men?!!?
Daenerys77 · 20/03/2022 18:35

There would be no sports cars or motorbikes or SUVs, but lots of women would be driving small Japanese hatchbacks very fast.

There would be international co-operation and peace for a while, but eventually one of us would press the nuclear button just to see what happened.

TroysMammy · 20/03/2022 18:38

It would be paradise, everyone would grow veg, craft, cuddle cats and kittens, shop, eat lots of lovely food and no-one will do Instagram cleaning, just the bare minimum and say for fucks sake a few times a day.

ldontWanna · 20/03/2022 18:38

I'd kill myself after one day and with so many clones, it might take a while.Grin

Magpiecomplex · 20/03/2022 18:41

Totally doomed. I'm pretty self-sufficient, but ask me to look after baby versions of myself and I'd run away screaming!

romdowa · 20/03/2022 18:46

I've adhd , autism and several chronic illnesses 🙈🙈 the world would be screwed 🤣🤣 it would end up like rimmer world in that episode of red dwarf

@Ionlydomassiveones

Can I just check one thing… who am I having sex with in this world?
You 🤷‍♀️
MrsJackGrealish · 20/03/2022 18:56

A world full of me??

Fuck that, I'd be praying for that Asteroid.

ClinkeyMonkey · 20/03/2022 19:00

Nobody would talk to anybody else. There would be lots of knitted jumpers and crocheted blankets being created by financially inept procrastinators while the world fell apart. And nobody would be able to see any further than the end of their nose because, well, if you don't look at it, it ain't there. So, yeah, doomed.
