If the world was full of clones of you

And no other humans. And more clones hatch every 9 months so you don't need to reproduce...

Would the world be a good place or doomed?

It sounds like a lot of our worlds would be insular and impractical! That's true for me. I have zero leadership skills too so nobody would pay attention to me trying to explain that it might be good to allocate jobs etc

And if you did have exceptional leadership skills so would all of the other yous and everyone would want to take charge!
bare · 20/03/2022 15:13

Who would I organise if they could all organise themselves? Smile
Also, you'd never learn anything new as you would all know the same stuff, which would be super dull.

RagzRebooted · 20/03/2022 15:15

Would the clones be babies so would have be raised and educated and stuff? Or would they be fully formed, mid thirties women?
I don't think a world of just me would be very balanced... I mean, we'd all be right all the time and presumably would agree but then who would challenge us? A lot of mistakes would happen and then there would be strops...

There would be a lot of hungry pissed off dogs and very happy, well fed cats as we aren't dog people.

I'm practical though, so most things would get done/built/hunted and we could have rotating working groups as we would get bored.

SpiderVersed · 20/03/2022 15:16

We’d kill each other within 6 months.

After we’d run out of cheese and wine.

Yeah, do we still get Internet or is this a dystopia? I can learn most things on YouTube or in a book
AllKnowingGerbil · 20/03/2022 15:29

OK let me dripfeed the specifics...

The hatchlings would be babies

The infrastructure of today would be available but, for reasons that would be too identifying, humanity wiped on Tuesday, clones woke up Wednesday to find they had inherited the world.

Doomed

Would my clone and knowledge and expertise in everything needed to run the world though OP? Or would they just be me with the knowledge and expertise I currently have?
Lubeyboobyalt · 20/03/2022 15:38

It would be great

My clones would know to mostly stay the fuck out of each others way, only grouping for important decisions, which we would all agree on, because I'm me and so are they. I'm a good kind person interested in the wellbeing of society in general and so would they be. Cool.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 20/03/2022 15:39

Carbon footprint would reduce massively as I'm a total homebird. Aldi would flourish. There would be no new TV shows/movies made or books published as I never finish longer projects.

Gas and elec requirements would reduce as I run really warm. Gyms would close.

LaQuern · 20/03/2022 15:42

The world would be exceptionally well organised but chock full of bossy people

Pixiedust1234 · 20/03/2022 15:43

Doomed. I would blow the world up rather than letting lots of me's ruin it.

AllKnowingGerbil · 20/03/2022 15:43

@WallaceinAnderland First generation clones* would all know what you know now and would be your age.

*the Wednesday Wakers

Moonface123 · 20/03/2022 15:46

It would be a very simple and peaceful way of life.
No clocks, just the natural rthymn of nature, surrounded by animals, plants and books, plus coffee and chocolate.

Somanysocks · 20/03/2022 15:46

Well we wouldn't need prisons as I am very law abiding (so far) and you wouldn't need to lock your doors or get locked out ever again.

Oh God, with my menopausal brain this could be a complete disaster.

They'd know plenty, they'd just forget most of it.

duvetdayforeveryone · 20/03/2022 15:52

We'd be okay :)

Guiltypleasures001 · 20/03/2022 15:52

Lots of good humoured swearing
Cracking on with stuff no nonsense
The odd rant the more cracking on
No religion no wars no hunger
No waiting lists
Empathy kindness and compassion
Ok lots of swearing

OldSpeclkledHen · 20/03/2022 15:57

Rimmer World 😂😂
(for the Dwarfer's out there 😂😂)

VampireMoney · 20/03/2022 16:00

It would be chaos. Which is fine because I'm ok with chaos. But would get done because I'm always on the go!

iklboo · 20/03/2022 16:10

It'd be bloody well organised.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 20/03/2022 16:25

The world would be doomed. I'm not a leader, I'm quite happy ticking along, so nothing important would get done. There would be a lot of parties and drinking though!

herecomesthsun · 20/03/2022 16:28

If the world were full of clones of my 10 year old daughter, it would be a rather pleasant place, full of hand-drawn rainbows and hugs, with homemade cake for tea.

shinynewapple22 · 20/03/2022 17:17

We would all live in simple houses by the coast.
After all the cheese has been eaten we would have to become vegan .
Our dogs and cats will eat the animal products already available but would also have to become vegan after that .
We would have to learn how to make our own wine.
And some of my clones would need to learn to write so I would have new books to read .
I don't know what we would do when things broke down though - eg cars, technology.
We would probably be quite peaceful as the only person I tend to argue with is my husband .

I would be sad that my family were no longer there though .
