Which other thread?

I've deliberately not looked at any of the mugs because I'll want them and we already have too many despite almost never buying any. They just appear. How does that work?

Do people just have dozens of mugs that they never use or do they get rid of ones when they get new ones?

This is my favourite. Nice to hold and a really good size for a lot of coffee without it cooling too much by the end. It's a nice weight but has a thinner rim than body so it's nice to drink from too. The grey mug behind it is a normal 250-300ml sized one to give you an idea of the size of this one.

Flamingo one was my fave until DD(6) jumped off the arm of the sofa and knocked it over, breaking the handle a few weeks back. I was upset but couldn't show it as she broke her little heart
Queen Bee is my new fave, was a 50th Birthday present last year from DS(25) and his GF.

Currently my favourite. Decent size and weight.

I'm on the look out for a coffee cup that's very small, but not espresso size. I've never found it yet.

You need to book a flight with Virgin Atlantic and steal their 3/4 size and surprisingly nice mugs!

My mother bought me this one from the RSC shop and I broke it so she bought me a replacement. In fact she bought all of the remaining stock (in the sale). If anyone wants a Vivien Leigh/Laurence Olivier Macbeth mug, let me know. They're very nice, thin, bone china.

I alternate between an M&S Percy Pig one and a haunted mansion DD bought me for Christmas.
I do have a bit of a haunted mansion obsession though. I also own far too many mugs and can never part with any.

But which colour makes coffee taste the best??

My beautiful large Denby purple mug with a sort of floral/Paisley style pattern. I bought it ages ago - at least 20 years I think - and I can't find a similar mug anywhere so if I break it, it's gone DH already chipped the handle in 2 places when he put all the mugs in the sink together and crashed them around when washing up
This is the mug I have to have for my morning and evening hot drinks, it doesn't feel right using any other mug
