Good morning all! What's everyone up to today?

I've just made myself a coffee & am considering getting dressed before I iron.

So far this morning I've tidied round, washed up, folded washing & have some in the washer, and filed my nails.

I still need to iron school shirts, do something I said I'd do for work, and a little bit of Guiding admin. We need to walk to Lidl for a few bits too, when the girls get up. They had a late one last night so that might not be for a while yet!

Hopefully, it'll all get done this morning & I can spend the afternoon with my crochet t-rex!

Later on I'd like to read some more of my book, with a glass of wine. By that time, I expect the girls will have vanished upstairs to chill with Minecraft/watch other people play it 🙄

We're having a roast chicken for tea 😋 & will probably have a nip to the shop for some sweets for this evening.

What about all of you? :)

Waxonwaxoff0 · 13/03/2022 08:58

Sundays revolve around DS's activities, we do one in the morning and one in the afternoon. We normally go to a café for coffee and cake in between. Then on Sunday evenings we put devices down a watch a movie together.

CrustyCrackers · 13/03/2022 08:59

VanLife · 13/03/2022 09:02

Just had a crumpet with honey on and a big cup of tea.

Kids are on the Wii.. DH just came down and made coffee.

Just a lazy Sunday today, going to make a beef stew for tea, will pop to the shop at some point.

Need to dye my hair later and will read my book before bed. ☕🤍

Vasectomyreversalhopeful · 13/03/2022 09:06

Woke up in a foul mood but pancakes sorted that out :) just waiting for nail polish to dry then will get DS dressed. DH is out on a run, when he gets back we will chat about what we want to do today.

I need to finish off the tote bag I am halfway through making but nothing else that is urgent.

Peri peri chicken pittas for dinner.

ssd · 13/03/2022 09:09

Morning @CrustyCrackersSmile
@Waxonwaxoff0, ive seen you posting a few times, i love how close you are to your ds.
Sorry @lucysmam, didnt mean to derail your threadSmile

MinnieMountain · 13/03/2022 09:10

DH and I have been doing those annoying little jobs that build up- sorting charity shop stuff, tidying piles of crap, cooking a cabbage that needs eating.

DS has had his gaming time and is now playing. He’s got termly homework (bollocks but must be done) so we’ll plough through that.

MIL is coming over for afternoon tea later. She’s made scones, I’ve made a cherry and almond cake.

I need to pull up the ivy that’s threatening to cover my low plants.

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 13/03/2022 09:11

Morning @lucysmam and all!

We've all not long woken up and I'm first downstairs. Got the first of 3 uniform washes on hoping to be get it on the line then probably have to finish off in the tumble dryer.

Eldest is off at their hobby all day but will be home for dinner. We've got PILs coming round mid morning for a coffee we all get on so well it's lovely. MIL and I have similar tastes in books so I've got a few books to pass on to her that I've enjoyed recently.

After lunch we really need to get in the garden and do some garden tidying we are still repairing the greenhouse from the recent storms and replacing pots etc. I've also got a few houseplants that need repotting aswell.

Younger children have requested to do some baking aswell so will see what we can rustle up this afternoon.

Roast chicken in the slow cooker for dinner so a simple roast then when children are asleep I'm going to iron the uniforms and probably have a bath and an early night.

Have a lovely Sunday all!

dementedma · 13/03/2022 09:11

Dh and ds are away for the day so a peaceful lie in. Will tackle kitchen then move books out of bedroom prior to decorators coming. ( this will involve me sitting on the floor, opening a book and still being there hours later with nothing done!). Got to take elderly mum out, then walk with a fried if rain stops. Will just eat on the hoof as and when

dementedma · 13/03/2022 09:11

Friend, not fried!

Vampirethriller · 13/03/2022 09:14

We've walked the dog and had toast and marmalade for breakfast, now we're watching Mr Tumble before we tidy up and do some baking. We're making bacon and egg pie and a pear and banana cobbler.
Going to go and plant seeds in the allotment later.

bloodywhitecat · 13/03/2022 09:16

The babies had me awake nice and early...cheers kids!

We've had breakfast (or rather, they had breakfast then ate my toast), they are dressed and are now playing happily on the floor alongside each other. Smallest baby will be up for her nap soon and once she goes I might take the toddler out into the garden for a bit.

After an early lunch we are meeting my DD and taking them both swimming.

There is a joint of beef in the slow cooker for dinner on our return, cooking a roast for me and 2 little ones is going to feel strange.

Thank you so much, what a lovely thing to say Smile

Hope everyone enjoys the day. The weather seems to be warming up a little bit too!

EarringsandLipstick · 13/03/2022 09:22

So much housework. And groceries.

And I'm time-wasting on MN!

Ringmaster27 · 13/03/2022 09:27

I had a late night working.
DCs are with their dad until later this evening.
I should be doing all the crap house jobs that need doing before they come home, but instead I’m doing nothing, stewing over my boyfriend being a dickhead last night like a pathetic teenager 🤦🏻‍♀️

MrsPear · 13/03/2022 09:33

Morning all - ds and h have gone to football - ds has a match. Youngest is on the computer. Usual Sunday of ironing, baking and homework. We are having another picky lunch and roast chicken for dinner. It’s cloudy here but dry.

Crunchymum · 13/03/2022 09:33

Off to the in-laws for a roast dinner.

Will have a walk along the canal first, to work up an appetite. Getting all the chores out of the way first (homework, baths etc) so when we get home we can have a chilled evening.

I have tow episodes of Reacher left - have been trying to pace myself - but I may end up watching them both later.

balloonsandmoreballoons · 13/03/2022 09:33

Quiet day today, 3 year old has a fever and has been sick, so he's asked for us to watch tv in bed, so think this is where we will be spending our day. DH has gone on a much needed costa run, we didn't get a lot of sleep last night with DS.

Crunchymum · 13/03/2022 09:33

two*

FreezyFreezy · 13/03/2022 09:35

We're off into town. DC2 wants a specific book that you can't get in Tesco. I'd rather stay in bed curled up under the duvet!

gingerhills · 13/03/2022 09:35

I brought DH a cup of tea in bed. Then he made breakfast. I'm about to do a challenging weights workout on line. Later we are off to watch DS1 perform in a concert and then out to dinner tonight. I might wear a dress for the first time this year! Can't wait.

Imsittinginthekitchensink · 13/03/2022 09:36

Off into town to meet a friend. Going early as I have a stack of work to do for tomorrow and want no chance of getting derailed by afternoon drinking, so we are doing coffee on a bench looking at the Thames bobbing by instead.

RagzRebooted · 13/03/2022 09:39

I've been awake an hour, but drinking coffee in bed. No one else is awake and probably won't be for a while. DS2 is away with cadets, DD is ill with covid (positive LFT last night) and DS1 one also tested positive though just a bit sniffy. So I'm off for a PCR later as work requires it. Probably roast chicken for us too and sorting a load of stuff for charity shop/tip as we swapped bedrooms last weekend.
