Somehow we've almost filled 2 threads already so here is thread 3. I still need a distraction from the news, and Semantle certainly fits the bill.

To understand what I'm on about followthis link. It's a word game like Wordle in that you need to find the secret word of the day, but it works by semantics. So you input a word and it will tell you how close you are. You have infinite guesses.

For example, one of the secret words was 'costly' with expensive, cumbersome and burdensome being the three closest words.

I have 39 greens, including 9 in the 900s. (996, 977, 958, 956, 946, 930, 926, 914)

I have tried every single word on the synonym sites I can find.
I have tried with Errol's clue.

I really can't get it.

I got lucky with random guess 4 which was 996 - so I probably should have not it even more quickly.

Gosh I don't think I ever would have arrived at that answer. I was quite close according to the green bars but on the wrong trail entirely!

This game is so hard! I've managed to solve it a couple of times but I think they were flukes and I don't really get it. Stuck today on 991 - have done another 30 or so guesses since I got 991 and can't get any further.
