Coca-cola and Russia

Will you be boycotting Coke after they announced they will continue trading in Russia?

I feel tremendously sorry for the Russian people, thousands would lose their jobs if coca-cola pulled out, but I will not be buying coke now.

Reading the comments from the kids on this newsround article was the first time I cried since the start of this conflict. What terrible times.

Mumsnettters don't drink coke.

Norgie · 04/03/2022 18:38

So rather than educate, you'd rather discriminate @CowboyJo. Nice!

FatFredsFriedEgg · 04/03/2022 18:39

@CovidCorvid Sainsburys have done that already

They have now. I don't think they'd announced it when I suggested it earlier though.

Maybe their PR Department reads MN. Grin

Mad Putin, and his sour looking group of brainwashed Generals, who are all playing these dangerous war games, are creating much the same horrors as was seen in the mad Hitler war.

I was watching a documentary last night on tv about Hittler. and he would have these little meetings.with his own brainwashed band of Generals, and then often dissapear to somewhere else, when all the horrors of the war were happening around the world. He cared nothing about human life, and death and destruction, and was alledged to have had many weaknesses,as in body and mind, but just had a notion, of being the most powerful person in the world.

I have derailed a bit from the coca cola issue, !! I hate the stuff and never buy it. I did buy some once, its good for unblocking a toilet, and cleaning up some metal items.like car engine parts.

It’s interesting that the Russian people are being blamed for not standing up to the government and stopping the war, even though their own lives are very likely at risk for doing so, yet if someone posts on here that they’re afraid of war and wanting to hide or are anxious, people are told we can’t blame people for being anxious. Even though their fears aren’t real or justified, as opposed to the Russians whose fears really are..

MN is like a parallel universe. People showing their Hmm support by boycotting Coca Cola and streaming Ukrainian music. Hilarious.

Norgie · 04/03/2022 19:21

Ukraine supermarkets have stopped stocking coca cola on the basis that they're still supplying Russia.

Not me. I'm firmly in the "get a grip" camp about people in this country acting hysterically.
