This is what I thought of when I read the title. "London Underground". So good!

Anything by Tom Lehrer
Agreed - We'll All Go Together is easily one of my favourite songs ever.
Soubriquet · 27/02/2022 14:06

I do think London Underground has aged poorly. It’s mostly funny…except the part with shooting them with a rifle

Not parodies as such but I love Hayseed Dixie's covers of heavy rock songs

The Kosovo Song, a parody of the Beach Boy's Kokomo.

Good luck to Kosovo ...

Norwegian soldiers on UN Peacekeeping duties made it apparently. Vicious lyrics (in a clever way) about politics and war.

MintMocha · 27/02/2022 14:11

I like Fascinating Aida's Ofsted Song "A Teacher's Lot is not a Happy One", based on Gilbert and Sullivan's "A Policeman's Lot..."

Aldehyde · 27/02/2022 14:12

The Hillywood Show does amazing music video parodies if you love certain tv shows & films. Their Supernatural one is probably the best known but they've done Doctor Who, Sherlock, Stranger Things, Suicide Squad, Hocus Pocus & more. Their M.O. is to pay homage to the originals by getting as close visually & audio-wise to the originals as they can, given that the lead roles are played by the two young women. They are ridiculously talented.

This is a more sobering parody.

Not quite the same thing but the Do it All adverts in the 80s had a great parody.

Bart Baker's Blurred Lines parody.

DrSbaitso · 27/02/2022 14:15

@Soubriquet

Adam Kay isn't too popular on here these days.
