@Jvg33, believe me, I knew all about her needs, wants and desires.....they were literally the only things that mattered throughout my childhood.
I didn't have decent clothes but she always had money for cigarettes....but yeah, I should be super grateful for all of the sacrifices she didn't make

I think most of us are capable of knowing how we feel about our mothers *@Jvg33* It’s taken me a long time to get over the damage my mother caused. I never really will.

@BlueFlavour, out of interest, were you speaking or did you sever ties?

Missed but so loved - she was by no means perfect but she did her best ❤️
I’m so sorry to all of you that didn’t have a lovely mum.
It’s truly so unfair and not the way it should be.
I hope you have all found happiness and love in your lives

She died a long time ago. I know I never would have left my children with her.
I asked my 19yo dd what word she would use to describe me. She said it was difficult but the word that came to mind was warm.
I don’t know what your angle is @Jvg33, but don’t minimise how destructive it is having a difficult mother.

Rock

There are positives and negatives there. When I was younger there were less positives but the older I get the more I appreciate it. I couldn't imagine a world without the rock.
