Where are all the parakeets?

Are you in London? Do you have any parakeets around? We had colonies and colonies of them, gradually over lockdowns they've disappeared. Just realised I haven't seen a single one for months.

We're over run with magpies and crows.

What's happened? Have they migrated but I've never noticed that before or did a cull actually happen?

They are absolutely rampant. Saw loads of them today in Regents Park.

South Northants here and we have none. But we have loads of buzzards and kites. These parakeets seem to be around more built up areas. Warmer and less big birds of prey?

Before i left London in 2000 there were 3 or 4 living along the Brent near Greenford. Sounds like the population has exploded!

There used to be loads by the Thames in Leylham in the mid 2000s when i used to go there thinking about it.

There's a scrappy tree outside the rear entrance to Clapham Junction railway station .... Some early mornings, I think ALL the London parakeets are in that tree, shouting and squabbling.
