Which of your favourite songs have been ruined by cover versions?

For me it’s Leona Lewis’s version of Run by Snow Patrol, I love that song but hate her version of it.

Haven't RTFT - got as far as @IntermittentParps' post (partly quoted above) and I completely agree. I believe it's by Nell Smith - a teenage fan - and The Flaming Lips.

I just love the fact that doing an involuntary 'tch' in a shop is the undeniable 'you are old' moment when comparing the version to what you're expecting - so true! But the rest of it had me choking with laughter.

That one has us reaching for the mute button the minute the ad comes on. Whoever told that creature she had any sort of voice at all? She’s not even in tune.
