I got the Primarni version. I can't compare it to an Oodie but I will say its the best item of clothing I've ever owned. If I need to go out it feels horrible removing it. They are the new central heating!

Sunshineandrainbow · 20/02/2022 06:29

Just googled, they are expensive but good if it cuts down on heating. Are they better than a dressing gown?

itsgettingweird · 20/02/2022 06:35

I've got the primark one too! Tie dye type pattern and so pretty and warm.

Carbiesdreamhouse · 20/02/2022 06:48

I like mine for sitting but any form of activity like making a cup of tea and it irritates me. I have to take it off and put it back in on again for sitting.

anotherbrewplease · 20/02/2022 07:14

@Sunshineandrainbow - yes. IMHO they are warmer than a dressing gown.

anotherbrewplease · 20/02/2022 07:17

@Northernsoullover - ha! I'm sure the Primark one is just as good. I got mine as a birthday treat last year - discounted a bit as they usually seem to be - but still pricey. This week I feel it was worth every penny!

Lightstoobright · 20/02/2022 07:17

Are the Primark ones good or is it better to go for the real deal? Just seem so expensive!

anotherbrewplease · 20/02/2022 07:18

Hmmmm - not sure as don't have both....

I saved $300 on my heating after buying one.

Inthesameboatatmo · 20/02/2022 07:23

I got my older kids the primark ones. They literally fell to bits after the first wash and they aren't that cheap either. I bought 3 . Rang primark and took them back for a refund won't buy anymore items of clothing from there at all now.
Sainsburys ones are good quality I've got some more from amazon now also great quality and price.

coldfeetmama · 20/02/2022 08:02

Love my Primark one - £14 quid
Washed well on a gentle wash
So cosy !

Love it , especially on days when WFH
Looks better on Teams or Zoom than a dressing gown

Northernsoullover · 20/02/2022 08:39

Outs have washed well from primark. As they are rarely off the boys they have been washed a fair few times. I also have one from Amazon. That was 20 quid and has washed well. Oodies are just out of out budget.

Northernsoullover · 20/02/2022 08:40

Our*

Cattitudes · 20/02/2022 08:48

Love mine, wear it so much as I wfh and don't need to look business ready. I also like the feeling of taking it off and discovering a smaller me inside 🤣.

ghostmouse · 20/02/2022 08:49

Oodies are well out of my price range but I bought dd2 14 and dd3 11 ones from primark and they have washed well several times.
I’ve got something very similar to an oodie I had from Avon and I’ve had it years and that’s lovely and warm. Sadly I’ve never seen them since being sold in the catalogue which is a shame as they are great. I even bought dd1 one at the time and she took it to uni with her

MonicaGellerBing · 20/02/2022 08:51

They all say one size fits all but I can't see anywhere if they'd be ok for a size 32? Wanting to buy one for MIL for her bday.

TroysMammy · 20/02/2022 08:52

My sister has a light grey fluffy one and she looks like a Womble.

sanityisamyth · 20/02/2022 08:55

Love my Oodie too!! I haven't been able to afford to put the heating on (monthly bill went up from £35 to £155 when I used them in the first winter) so I figured if I invested in Oodies for DS and me, then I would save money overall. They've been a life saver!!

ScarlettDarling · 20/02/2022 09:00

My 6’2” 15 stone husband tried mine on and there was tons of room. My 6’4” (although fairly slim) brother loves the oodie we got him for Christmas. Me and dd both tried fitting inside of mine at the same time ....apart from no room for 2 heads I think we’d have fit quite easily. They’re huge! Perhaps email customer services and ask if they’d work for your size 32 mil?
rosieelliot · 20/02/2022 09:02

How is the length of the Oodie? We’re a very tall family and I’m worried our legs would still be cold!

ohidoliketobe · 20/02/2022 09:04

Please could you share a link to the amazon ones you've ? Been browsing for a while but always unsure which are decent reviews and which are fake!

ohidoliketobe · 20/02/2022 09:05

That was supposed to be a reply to @Inthesameboatatmo !

HangingOver · 20/02/2022 09:07

I love mine. The cat steals it the second I take it off. Grin

Cailleach · 20/02/2022 09:09

@ohidoliketobe

I bought this one off Amazon last week and was so impressed that I have ordered another one arriving today.

Unfortunately they only have them in pink now - my first one is grey - but I thought I'd get another whilst I could.
