Good morning all! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just enjoying my first brew in silence, as always. The only sound is the fridge humming to itself & occasional bird outside.

I'm going to put the washer on, in a minute, and wash last night's tea cups.

I want to nip into town for some yarn for a couple of amigurumi dinosaurs for a friends dc so am waiting for the girls to get up & decide whether they want to come or not.

I think dd2 will want to stay here with thier dad & dd1 will come with me. We'll see 🤷‍♀️

We could do with a nip to Asda too but might do that tomorrow.

Dd2 has a bit of maths homework to finish so I'll get her to bring that down later and do it while I do some reading for work.

Tonight, I plan to start the dinosaurs & watch another couple of episodes of Glee. The girls want to stay up & watch something Minecraft related.

We're having pork loin steaks with garlic & parmesan roast potatoes, and salad, for tea 😋 I'll have a glass or two of wine with mine.

I'm meeting some friends for brunch, which I've been looking forward to for ages. Then I'll go and see my parents this afternoon for a cuppa. Not much planned for this evening, Thai curry and Inventing Anna on Netflix probably.

I've been making a sourdough loaf and sourdough cinnamon and raisin buns which are now proving.

Going to go out for a run in a bit (half marathon training plan) 😉

DD on a sleepover tonight (though looks like she's not planning on getting dressed for a while!) so parma ham, pasta and leeks for dinner tonight for me and DH.

The dinner sounds delicious.
I actually got done all the Jobs/housework I wanted to up until 10pm yesterday so I have no boring jobs today. Was worth it.

Might build a snowman with the dc! It’s beautiful out. I have a curry made so no cooking for me either. Mass later this evening. Dc will enjoy minecraft before that. Dh and I will have a drink and Netflix tonight.

Watching the kitten chasing her tail to bite it whilst older cat looks on disdainfully. Need to get up for another coffee/shower.
DH is off to work in one of his gardens today as he took yesterday off due to the storm.
DD1 has work later so will probably have a lazy day. DD2 always wants a lazy day so I need to encourage her to do something even if it's a bit of baking.
I really fancy making a carrot cake tray bake.
Could do with popping to the butchers for some sausages and chicken in a bit.
Fajitas for tea no wine as picking DD1 up from her job.
Might go and find a new book in the local charity shop.

I was up just after 7 with the dog as usual.

Today’s plans are to empty the dishwasher and clean the kitchen, vacuum, walk the dog and put the Xmas decorations in the loft. They’ve been down since 6 January but the boxes are still in the spare bedroom. So if DS doesn’t moan too much we will put them away finally. It takes three is us. DH in the loft, DS on a step ladder and me passing stuff up from below.

I’m also going to book a flight to Australia to go see my best friend now that they are finally reopening their borders.

Off to work ... but as I posted on the 'do you love your job' thread yesterday it's a job that I love and Saturday is the best day I manage a charity shop ... perhaps you are one of my customers Ilove?

Quiet night in planned, DH away visiting our DS so I can have my choice of evening meal and tv - no compromising- my favourite sort of evening!

Well awake early with h er um ….
Children are now up and eating breakfast.
H and children going football practice I’m doing ironing, housework and making soup.
H is also collecting the in laws at some point. I think chicken pilaf for dinner.
I’ll make a cake too for pudding.
Easy simple day

Going to aerial yoga then to the gym for swim sauna and jacuzzi. Then a long walk stopping at a favourite shop and a quiet glass of wine in my favourite pub on the way home. Rest of the family are away and I'm relishing the time by myself.

This evening take away and more wine with a friend. Hopefully a nice day.

I'm just having a coffee, then I'm going to completely gut out my bedroom this morning while the teens sleep.

This afternoon DS & I are going to the movies to see Unchartered - all his friends went yesterday but he was at his dads in the arse end of nowhere so was snowed in & no buses running.

Dinner tonight is chicken kebabs & there will definitely be a glass of wine or two.

I'll probably watch a couple of episodes of Game of Thrones, I'm very late to this party & only started watching this week, while DS is on the PlayStation & DD is off to the boyfriends.

Packing up the car with family and the dog and driving 200 miles north, starting from the south coast off Cornwall! Was going to go yesterday but Eunice put paid to that, it seems pretty windy again today but we can't wait any longer. Hopefully as soon as we're away from the coast the wind will be less.

I'm still debating. I've been awake since 5am but am still in bed watching Netflix. I have a cinema ticket booked for 1240 but don't know if I can be bothered. Shall I go, not go, text a friend who I know would come with me, have a charity shop mooch or just slob today?

I'm disabled and don't go out apart from to the cinema (thank you, unlimited card!) but the whole being human and socialising with the world can be rather 😱

Workout first thing was German Volume Training. Not a fan. Coffee and poached eggs for breakfast after was ace though.

We've got swimming lessons this morning and then a birthday party this afternoon which is great as it's another yucky weather day.

Then I might make pizza bases when we get back for dinner. Yum!

Enjoying a lie in currently! DH bought me a coffee in bed, and the carpenter has already come and gone, fixing the door. Then we’ll walk the dog, and then we’re off to a friend’s surprise party.

Just put a load of washing on the airer, about to have my breakfast and then a shower. DD and I may go for a walk around the local park at about 11. This afternoon DD and I are off to the panto (local youth theatre group always do a Feb half term panto).

DS has got football training this morning then him and DP are off to the match this afternoon.

Tomorrow a swim for me first thing and then we’ll tidy the house up as it’s gotten a bit trashed over half term and just get ourselves ready for school on Monday.

The storm has passed ...going to walk down to the sea ....about 15 min walk ..get a take away coffee and breathe ....

Currently having a nice coffee and watching curling. Could quite happily spend the whole morning doing that but need to be up & doing shortly!

We have great friends coming over later for dinner and games. One of those happy things where all four of us are genuinely looking forward to seeing all four of them

DD is going to prep an apple crumble this morning ready for dinner later. I will be cleaning/tidying and DH will prep dinner. Happily, we’ve just had my bestie over to stay for a couple of days so the house is already reasonably decent and has had a pre-visitors clean, so I need to do a quick tidy and change the spare bed rather than cleaning the whole place top to bottom!! Revelation- the threat of visitors really is the best housework motivation

I'm still in bed, me and dh went out for a lovely meal and drinks last night so I feel a bit hungover.

No idea what any of the dc are doing today, everyone still asleep, they all have a day off work and youngest ds broke up from school yesterday.
We need to gut our bedroom when dh wakes up, it's become so messy over the last couple of days and I can't cope.

Gonna take the spotty dogs for a long walk, catch up on washing and cook something nice for dinner for everyone then I'm meeting a couple of friends for pizza and wine. Boring lazy day.

Just having coffee will dh gets the 2 youngest ready for football.
I need to walk the dog, have a bit of a tidy up have a shower and wash my hair.
We are going to have a mooch into town later and probably get a coffee.
I slow cooked half a leg of lamb yesterday so will put mash on top and have Shepard's pie for tea.

We have just had the storm so a day on the sofa with duvets as it's freezing. I'll be doing my housework and laundry. Tomorrow hopefully go on a hike at a peak near our house.

We're all still in pjs. DH is watching the end of the curling.

After he will take DS2 to the supermarket and I'll persuade DS1 to get off roblox and come to the velodrome with me (I'll jog, DS1 will cycle).

Heavy rain predicted for the afternoon, so I might do some baking if DS2 naps at a convenient time.

We’re off for a bike ride at 10. DH is going for a sauna later now he’s allowed out (he had Covid).

Family film and Indian takeaway later.

And I get to sleep in the same bed as DH for the first time in 10 days, but I’m worried I’ve got too used to having the bed to myself.

I’ve woken up in even more pain than is usual today, so I’m feeling a bit sorry for myself. Just drinking tea now and snuggling with DDog, but I will get up shortly.

I have some work to get done, so I need to crack on with it whilst DH has offered to clean the house. DC will entertain themselves mostly, but we might suggest some board games later. They are all (13, 10 & 8) very excited to watch Ant & Dec this evening, it’s the highlight of their TV year! We’re making home made pizzas for dinner to have whilst we watch. Not the worst Saturday in the world!
