So trying to make my work afternoon go quicker and listen to some music, so up pops the band Garbage from the 90's, how could I forget how bloody brilliant they were especially Stupid Girl! Anyone agree?

Yes! I’ve found my people.

And I give you: Elastica

biggirlknickers · 18/02/2022 15:54

Oh, and The Sundays, The Cardigans and Kulashaker.

Freebus · 18/02/2022 15:58

Yes, loved Garbage and also Placebo, Bjork, Eels, Ben Folds 5, The Cardigans... and lots of others.

There was a Saturday morning video show , I watched that a lot.

Frazzlerock · 18/02/2022 16:01

Oh god, so many, The Charlatans, Stone Roses, Shed Seven, Pixies, Blur, Pulp, Mansun, The Seahorses, Elastica, The Coral, James, The Mock Turtles, The Dandy Warhols, Oasis, The White Stripes, New Order, Longpigs, The La's, Inspiral Carpets, The Libertines, Sleeper, The Verve.

I'm basically stuck in the 90's and refuse to move!

Anyone go to the well-known London 90's indie clubs? They were my life.

Grapejuiceisntwine · 18/02/2022 16:25

EMF, Jesus Jones, skunk Anansie, Alanis, Cranberries, Prodigy, Pulp, Transvision Vamp, Placebo ... so many!

DS adores the Seahorses after rooting through our CD collection today. Happy times.

balalake · 18/02/2022 18:07

Saw Sleeper three years ago (or maybe four), and still as good as they were to begin with. Louise Wener knew her audience/crowd and that were people who loved them in the 1990s.

Daisychainsandglitter · 18/02/2022 18:21

@Frazzlerock you've pretty much described my Spotify 😊

TheUsualShitshow · 18/02/2022 18:22

I've been listening to the soundtrack from My Mad Fat Diary on Spotify this week, it's awesome!

So many songs and bands I'd forgotten about!

What clubs did you go to @Frazzlerock? I went to Paramount City, The Venue, Camden Palace on a Tuesday night (Feet First) and occasionally The Electric Ballroom.

247SylviaPlath · 18/02/2022 23:10

I’m so glad it’s not just me who is stuck in the 90’s…

Eels still around by the way - seen them a couple of times in last few year’s and they’re as amazing as ever…Mark Oliver Everett is my #1 crush…

RJnomore1 · 18/02/2022 23:22

They were the band I was gutted not to have seen in the 90s.

Bought star shaped festival tickets for Glasgow 2017 and they were announced after as reforming! They were my first post covid gig last September and I’m hoping to see them in April.

KloppsTeeth · 18/02/2022 23:59

Hello my lovely people! We need a weekender of 90s nostalgia. Amazing decade of music and I’m thrilled my 16yr old son is discovering all these bands with his mates.
