@HilaryThorpe

What happened to Aberdeen to Manchester?
Can you give us a clue with the flight number/company?
HilaryThorpe · 21/02/2022 09:21

Think it is LM021?

AnyFucker · 21/02/2022 09:22

Just found this thread. Sooo interesting. Struggling to find a specific live feed for Manchester. Anybody watching one ?

notimagain · 21/02/2022 09:36

Oh yes I now understand the ?

Dropped off tracking (system glitch somewhere?) nothing on the MAN arrivals board.

The Registration seems to have been G-SAJN so be interesting to see where/when it pops up again.

Anyone keeping an eye on VS363 Islamabad to Manchester? Looks like aborted landing at Manchester. Now heading toward London airports and marked with the 7700 emergency squawk code.

p.s. also hello from a long time lurker and long time FR24 fan. Hoping I can join the discussion.

HilaryThorpe · 21/02/2022 09:51

Islamabad landed at Heathrow.

notimagain · 21/02/2022 10:15

Things are getting pretty grim/interesting when LHR is accepting diversions- they really don’t like doing that.

Given the emergency squawk there can’t have been a lot of/any other options available to Virgin…

handslikecowstits · 21/02/2022 10:29

I wonder what was wrong with the Virgin plane. An emergency encompasses so many things doesn't it?

CaveMum · 21/02/2022 10:29

Eek, Brussels just aborted landing at Manchester at 300ft!

Yes it encompasses a lot and of course it is quite possible nothing was actually technically wrong with the aircraft,

If ATC need to give an aircraft priority (e.g medical emergency or they know fuel getting to the state where delays/holding can’t be accepted) they’ll ask the crew to squawk 7700.

Amongst other things that makes the aircraft more obvious on ATC displays.

Anyone have a live link? I can only find one pulling up Eunice

A live link to what? The thing we're mostly looking at is an app
BarbaraofSeville · 21/02/2022 11:34

Flights from Istanbul and Abu Dhabi currently drawing pretty patterns over NW England plus looks like Hamburg is going to Not Manchester Today Sorry.

ErrolTheDragon · 21/02/2022 11:35

I wonder what GMA58 is doing. It left farnborough for somewhere in the us, has a squawk 7700 on and headed back along the south coast. Possibly returning to farnborough.

AnyFucker · 21/02/2022 11:38

What is the app you are all watching please

BabbleBee · 21/02/2022 11:38

@AnyFucker

What is the app you are all watching please
@AnyFucker mainly FlightRadar24 but there’s also Freedar and Military Freedar which can be of interest.
AnyFucker · 21/02/2022 11:39

Thanks 👍

Istanbul landed 2nd attempt, Abu Dhabi coming in now, Hamburg swinging round to join the queue after what would have been a nice scenic tour if it wasn't cloudy.
MayBeeMee · 21/02/2022 11:48

They’ve coming in lower than usual at 1200ft over JL Grin

Returned and failed to land. Is it windy down south?
handslikecowstits · 21/02/2022 11:49

GMA58 seems to be in trouble. It doesn't seem to be able to re-land at Farnborough.

Legalconundrums · 21/02/2022 11:50

Watching this one too, over Alton atm, might be coming in at SOU

ErrolTheDragon · 21/02/2022 11:56

Think it's looping back for 2nd attempt at farnborough

ErrolTheDragon · 21/02/2022 11:57

Since it's first attempt, one plane landed but another has just failed

CaveMum · 21/02/2022 11:59

@Bunnyfuller

Anyone have a live link? I can only find one pulling up Eunice
@Bunnyfuller BigJetAir only broadcasts live twice a week I think. Sunday and Wednesday, unless there’s something specific (like Eunice!) happening.

The rest of the time people are following the FlightRadar24 app and following flights manually - ie we know it’s windy around Manchester right now so that’s where most disruption is likely to be.
