The cork - lgw flight iis nearly at Edinburgh, I'd be able to see it from my window if it wasn't so grey but before that is a Shetland to Aberdeen coming in to land. A bit out it's way too didn't think Aberdeen would be any worse than here

They look well fed alright but they seem very jittery
Horses do get skittish when it's windy anyway.

liveforsummer · 18/02/2022 13:57

Edinburgh Aberdeen is back on the tarmac in Edinburgh too

@BrennieGirl

Anyway, sorry to derail.
No need to be sorry for caring
LIZS · 18/02/2022 13:58

Was that a ba aborting?

Carpediem15 · 18/02/2022 13:59

He was talking to the wife of the Virgin pilate on the plane that was on its way to land.

liveforsummer · 18/02/2022 13:59

They look well fed alright but they seem very jittery.

They tend to get like this in wind, often playful/excitable rather than scared. They'd be worse indoors with all the noise and banging but not seeing or feeling what was causing it. Especially for outdoor ponies who aren't used to being confined

Another just gone round at EMA. That’s three now trying to land there.

JedEye · 18/02/2022 14:03

Arching Brize Norton on my the Norfolk coast. Lots of swirly patterns!

liveforsummer · 18/02/2022 14:03

Cork - lgw on the ground in a very wet, cold but slightly less breezy Edinburgh. Poor passengers hope they get where they are are going soon

@Letsnotargue

Vilnius to Stanstead had two aborted landings, diverted to East Mids where it's just had another one. Poor buggers.
Oh gosh. Has it landed yet? I can't find it
EduCated · 18/02/2022 14:05

Cork has landed, finally!

CaveMum · 18/02/2022 14:06

I’m about 40 miles-ish from Stansted and the wind has really picked up here so expect plenty of aborts!

EduCated · 18/02/2022 14:06

Vilnius coming in for round two at EMA. Fingers crossed!

liveforsummer · 18/02/2022 14:06

If I remember rightly ema is very exposed

DirtyDancing · 18/02/2022 14:09

Found it. Come on VNO.. id need a VINO if I was on that plane!

EduCated · 18/02/2022 14:10

It’s down!

liveforsummer · 18/02/2022 14:11

And they're down

OP posts:
DirtyDancing · 18/02/2022 14:11

Phew it's landed. Poor people are now in Nottingham, not Stansted and probably have to pick up cars etc. least they are safe

ErrolTheDragon · 18/02/2022 14:12

The wind has really picked up where I am in Lancashire so I expect Manchester is rough now too.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 18/02/2022 14:13

Not that bad on the North of Manchester at the moment, I'm glad I came back from London yesterday instead of today as planned!

liveforsummer · 18/02/2022 14:13

@BrennieGirl

Anyway, sorry to derail.
No need to apologise I know very little about planes but living in Scotland and having horses much of my life bad weather and horses is something I can talk confidently about. 😆
