I made DH a toad birthday cake :-) now wondering if it's too weird!

One of his nicknames is "toad" (don't ask) so I made him a warty toad on a tree stump! It's a bit random...it has various mosses and fungi because we like to photograph those on long walks, and primroses because they're his favourite wild flower. It's a cherry vanilla cake inside (with more cherries than cake as he is addicted to them)

This is hilarious! What a bizarrely unique cake! It's SO much better than a generic chocolate cake or whatever. Ah, I really need to up my birthday cake obscurity game. Bonkers totally works, it turns out!

Honestly it is a tiny tiny bit weird but he’s probably a bit weird if his nickname is Toad! I’m sure he’ll love it and you can see the love that went into it.

I LOVE it!

Although it has the demeanour of a frog rather than a toad, but it looks delicious!

My son (30) is known as 'toad's because he spent so much time on his lily pad (bed) when a teenager. I've just shown him the photo. I have to try and make one for his next birthday in November. At least I've got time to practise. Your cake looks lovely.
