Morning all! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just enjoying my first cup of tea of the day. It's the first day of half term here & no-one else is up yet; it's lovely and quiet. Perfect way to start the day.

We're off for a wander round town later this morning. I have a small list of things to buy & the girls want to have a look on the fruit stalls on the market for something new to try.

We'll probably end up in Primark, the random shit shop (sells all sorts of stuff you never knew you needed!) and I want to nip in the yarn shop too.

Curry for tea, I think. And then hopefully I'll pick up a new crochet project. I might leave it tonight though -my thumb's sore & I don't want to make it worse.

Currently enjoying a lie in. These are rarer than hens teeth thanks to an idiot dog who refuses to pee only on walks. He’s having a sleepover elsewhere.
Really don’t want to get up but need to run over to next town to pick up car (I went out last night). Then I need to finalise my fantasy rugby team ahead of the rugby this avo. 🏉

I probably need to do some shopping beforehand, then it’s homemade pizza for tea.

I am going for a 5 km run soon. I am then going to sort out some clothes to sell on Facebook marketplace. Omlette for lunch. Walk around the block later with my girls and then noodles for dinner :)

I'm up with DS. We've just bought the Paw Patrol film so that's keeping him quiet! Then I'm meeting a friend at soft play so DH will get a nice relaxing morning/afternoon.

After that, we'll do child relay and I'll pop to the shops for a few bits. Need a new fitted sheet for the bed as mine seems to have shrunk and I nearly injured myself getting it on last night!

Then it's a Hello Fresh for tea, bottle of wine and maybe a film.

I was looking forward to a quiet day. I’ve been out a lot this week. However a friend texted me yesterday to remind me that we had re-arranged theatre tickets as she is going into hospital. So I am travelling into London again today. Thank goodness for free travel. Otherwise I would have spent £100 this week on tube fares - or not gone.

Going to trawl round the charity shops and visit a nice cafe.

Laying in bed at the moment, will have to get up soon as ds has a football match to go to.

Later on I plan to have a mooch around town as there are a few things I need to pick up and might stop for a coffee and a cake while I'm at it.

Then it'll be home, read for an hour or so and takeaway and film tonight!

DD stays with her dad on Friday nights. So just enjoying a lie in, then need to work on my PhD, tidy house, tie up any loose jobs that need doing and then may meet a friend for coffee or go for walk depending on how much I get done. Have a lovely Saturday.

Just had breakfast, got the toddlers dressed and put the chicken carcass left over from our roast dinner on to make stock

Need to finishing baking and decorating two cakes this weekend one for DH to take to a party tomorrow night and one for a friends kids birthday. Looking forward to my solo stroll to tesco for icing sugar as I’ve run out. Also consume too many TikTok videos while I’m hiding out in the kitchen baking

If the weather holds prob take the kids to the park and a walk along the beach.

Not sure what supper tonight will be. Trying to reduce food shopping costs so will see what in the freezer.

I am still in bed but need to get up soon. We’re going away tomorrow so need to pack and sort out loose itinerary, book restaurants, etc. DCs will need to do some homework & music practice. DP is at work. DCat is patiently waiting for her breakfast.

Awful weather but that won’t stop me going for a mountain walk. Ill take my friend’s dog as she us heavily pregnant and doggo needs a good long walk.

Then nothing else planned apart from pottering about the house.

DH is away and I had a horrendous night with the DCs and have been awake since 3am with one or other of them so am on coffee number 2 and eating a massive bowl of porridge.
The food shop arrived a while ago so I've put that away, fed the DCs, cleaned the kitchen and put the laundry in the dryer already.
Later we're off to the library to collect new books and have a potter round the market and then up to the zoo for a play for a couple of hours.
It's pizza for tea as a weekend treat and hopefully an early night for all!

I had a lie in and now really tempted to go for a walk as the sun is out, and it hasn't been out in almost 3 weeks But it's also -5º so I'll need to wrap up properly...

Going to church in a couple of hours, then back home for lunch and I need to pop to the shops for a few things. I'll work 6-9pm, and then I need to do the ironing and pack for tomorrow's work trip. I'm at work 8-6 tomorrow and then flying late in the evening, so hoping I can get some nice dinner tonight and an early night.

I love these threads! The peek into other, similar, often comfortingly mundane lives. It makes me feel all cosy

DH has taken DDog to daycare for the day, then off for some golf with a friend.

DS1 is at work until lunch time. DS2 is probably asleep until lunch time! DS3 & DD are playing on the switch/doing homework/practising instruments.

I am drinking my second cup of tea in bed. About to get up and dressed, make sure all the school uniform is in the wash and then do some university reading. It is DMs birthday this weekend and we’re spending most of it with my parents, so need to get as much organised this morning as possible!

I'm home alone for a week which is blissful.

This morning a meditation class, swim, sauna. Home late afternoon, stopping off to buy some braising steak to cook a chilli for tomorrow/the freezer.

I need to brush up my CV as I've found a job I quite like the look of.

Then I need to tackle my linen cupboard, DC have been in there and everything is mashed together, I prefer the folded look 😂.

DH has just been to asda whilst I was still asleep so were just polishing off Bacon and Egg cobs then I think get cosy under a blanket and watch the Adam kay programme, we've a busy day tomorrow and my energy levels aren't great at the moment so not a busy day today.

Morning all! I've been up since 7 with the dog. DH has gone out to football early as there are loads of road closures near us this weekend so he's worried the traffic will be bad. I've had two cups of tea and some toast. About to have a shower and get up properly.

DS1 has a basketball tournament this morning and then we need to pop to Tesco. No plans for this afternoon, just pottering. Roast chicken for dinner and maybe a film later on.

Tomorrow DH is away all day at football so the DC and I are catching up with a friend and her DC.

I'm at work, vaccinating (it's really quiet!) until 12:30pm, then home for lunch. Wrap presents, DH needs the car to pick up DS1 then over to see my sister for my niece's birthday.

Rugby this afternoon, we’ve been absolutely destroyed the last four games, so while it will be great to play again after a short break, we’re all going to have to work our arses off to keep the little bit of dignity we have left. It’s our first game with our usual 1st team in about seven weeks.

We’ve had pancakes for breakfast, I once made the mistake of doing the whole coloured batter and making a picture, so I now I have to do that everytime otherwise world war three will break out. We had pokéballs this morning.

We’re going to our little holiday home for a few days as its halfterm, so I should be packing, but I really can’t be bothered.

My husbands at jingle tots with the baby, and Grandma has taken my son to the park, so I really should get off my arse.

We’re having a lazy morning,dh currently making us toast to bring back to bed.
I need to put lamb shanks in the slow cooker for tomorrow and do a couple of loads of washing that dh will hang out while I’m out but not much else needed in the house.
Dd (16)and I are going shopping later in town while dh does some work and watches the rugby.
Carbonara for dinner with a lovely bottle of wine and then possibly a movie together or if dd wants to retire to her room we will finish watching Reacher on prime.
A lovely chilled day the dfil for lunch tomorrow and a catch up.

I'm currently sat drinking a cuppa whilst eating a pain au chocolate, dd is rolling on the floor and dh is still asleep (he's recovering from long term illness, so still suffers a lot of fatigue - feel I need to make this know so mn doesn't come for him 😅)

Heading into our nearest town to collect my DD’s first pair of glasses. She a bit sad about having to wear them so my parents are coming for lunch to tell her how great she looks in them etc.

Quiet relaxing day planned for tomorrow. Walk on the beach followed by roast chicken. 🙂

Still lazing in bed because it's warmer to do so.

We're doing a family bowling trip followed by burgers, much to the 14yo's disgust.
Then I've got a food delivery coming and have to do admin for my tarot shop. DP is out tonight DJing

I got up at 6.30 with DD and let DH have a lie in as he was working an evening shift last night and got back late. We’ve played with lego and a balloon and had scrambled eggs for breakfast. Bath is currently running for DD, which she will probably play in for about an hour with her cars! Then we need to pop to the shops to get a present for her friend’s birthday, we’re off to the party this afternoon. DH is working again tonight so will watch Love Is Blind and get an early night.

Tomorrow we’re getting a new bed delivered so we’ll be assembling that!
