I love reading this threads at the weekend. It's somewhat comforting! So how have your Sundays been and what are you up to?

DH and I are currently having a coffee together on the sofa while DS (18 months) naps. We took him swimming for the first time this morning and he loved it. Then we came home, had lunch, played a little in the living together and now, coffee and sofa chill time before the evening tasks: sweeping tidy, dinner, bath and bed!

I've just turned the oven on to put the roast potatoes and beef in. Have been flicking through some cook books (mainly to find a flower I pressed from my bridesmaid bouquet from a wedding last year so I can make an anniversary card for the first anniversary), poured me and DH a g&t, given the dogs a bone, listening to Paul O'Grady on the radio. Looking forward to Call The Midwife and a recorded episode of The Gilded Age.

Perfect Sunday afternoon.

Been out for a lovely pub roast with the children (2yos & 3yos) at a pub with an outside play area (managed to avoid the rain) so they came home nice and worn out. I built them a big car track when we got home so they're happily playing with that while dh and I have half an hour to chill on the sofa and drink tea

Big lunch means the kids will just have sandwiches for dinner in about 30 mins before bath and bed and dh and I will probably share some cheese and biscuits later this evening. I love cooking but I also love having a night off

Ah I love these threads. I am just finishing off making dinner (shepherds pie), the kids are colouring pictures and light heartedly bickering over whether we live in America (we don’t, we live in Surrey)!! DH is playing Forza upstairs I think. It’s been a nice Sunday.

Up late,I am retired so am never up early.

Walked the dog between showers.

Cooked a meal.

Just going for an hours swim, weather is dire,so I will only do a bit in the outdoor pool, then the rest indoors.

Back in time to sit and knit whilst watching CTM.

Me and Dh watching the Leicester FA cup game. Wine in hand. Roast in the oven. Ds1 is blasting his tunes out upstairs whilst he works out. Dd is in the bath and ds2 has just come home from being out with his mates all day. All dc are teens. Dh and I took the dogs out this morning but other than that we’ve been slowly drinking wine and watching footy all day, with some washing and cooking thrown in.

13yo DC making ravioli
17yo DC insisting he doesn't need to visit Unis to decide on one - oh, and Northerner stereotypes
DH huffing that I said egg boxes can't go in recycling, he is cooking tea, watching sport
Cat moaning for food
Me tending wood burner
17yo fussing cat

HerRoyalHappiness · 06/02/2022 17:57

Watching batman vs superman with the DC and lots of goodies. My DS1 goes away with school for a week tomorrow so it's our goodbye night.

tiktokontheclock · 06/02/2022 19:41

Made a proper roast which went down really well with DH, MIL and Dd - abs of course myself! Was happy with my Yorkshire's after changing the recipe. And now DD is lying on me having snuggles when she should be in bed.

Love this thread.
Decided not to go into town to see the Chinese New Year Celebrations due to the awful weather.
DD went to gymnastics this morning while DH took our recently deceased microwave to the tip and then finally put the Xmas decorations in the loft which have been cluttering up the landing.
We have rigged up the old tele in the bedroom so the kids can watch their loud cartoons upstairs.
I've hemmed some trousers/taken in the waistband while relaxing on the sofa watching Limitless Win from last night. I like the format but the contestants have been picked for high annoyance factor and they are really daft (probably so they don't win much and bankrupt itv 🤣)

Kids in bath and I'm catching up with some work training videos.
I've had a great day ☺️

LlamaLucy · 06/02/2022 20:51

Flicking through Netflix, have landed on Don't Tell the Bride, on the sofa with DH. Dog curled up between us. Drinks have long been finished and off to bed soon for an early start.

TheChosenTwo · 06/02/2022 21:04

Lying in bed although need to wash face/clean teeth still! Just about to watch some telly or read a book.
Dds are upstairs in their rooms faffing about, ds is in bed, dh is downstairs watching empire boardwalk or something like that.

KittenKong · 07/02/2022 08:36

I’m siiiiiiick. Not covid.

Having a coffee and winding myself up for work. Boooooooo.

languagelover96 · 07/02/2022 09:01

I'm eating bonbons on the couch. The little dog is somewhere about, not sure where. Listening to the radio before going to do some food shopping, walk and also pick up a magazine in town. Pub meal out later on today at nighttime.
