What's going on in your house right now?

I love reading this threads at the weekend. It's somewhat comforting! So how have your Sundays been and what are you up to?

DH and I are currently having a coffee together on the sofa while DS (18 months) naps. We took him swimming for the first time this morning and he loved it. Then we came home, had lunch, played a little in the living together and now, coffee and sofa chill time before the evening tasks: sweeping tidy, dinner, bath and bed!

Im under a blanket warming myself up with the hairdryer and pottering on here.

Dp and ds have just got in, ds is upstairs watching something on netflix.

Dp is upstairs using the insults his mate in work taught him to argue with the angry Russian guy on FIFA. Which I think is bloody hilarious. Even funnier is the fact he wrote them down complete with pronunciations 😂

Me and DS2 are watching the figure skating in the front room. We’ve just ordered him a Pokemon game he has been saving up for. Earlier we went for an incredibly blustery coastal walk as DS2 has just come to the end of a Covid self isolation period and was desperate to get out of the house. Don’t know what DH is doing right now but probably watching cycling videos on YouTube. DS1 is a teenager so rarely comes out of his bedroom..

Terrible weather here, DS has covid symptoms so he's in his bedroom playing on his VR while we wait for his PCR results. DH and i are on the sofa with the dog watching Orange is the new black. Made chicken noodle soup for lunch and then we both fell asleep. Going to go for a bath soon. So a very lazy day for us.

Might watch the rugby with ds1 later as he's recorded it
Ds1 currently facetiming with a friend from university, ds2 chilling out in his bedroom
Ds2 needs to do hos piano practice and homework
No idea what dh is up to...he's probably been watching TV

I’m on my phone procrastinating. I should be sorting the washing out.

I had a lay in till 11am. Teen was in room dh got up with youngest and dd was at a sleepover.
Then has leftover pizza and now at ils for a Sunday dinner.
Then home dh will bathe the kids ill whip the hoover round and mop. Then shower and stuff my face with chocolate

Dd and I are having a jammie day here snuggled up under a throw.
DH is making dinner, Roast Chicken, Potatoes and veg.

I’m currently on the sofa having eaten a lovely roast pork dinner, stuffed! DH is washing up, DD is dyeing her hair and DMIL is nodding in the armchair (two sherries before dinner does that to her). When we’re all cleared away we’ll have a pot of tea and watch telly for a bit. In fact the rest of the day will be chilling. I’ll do some pudding about 7pm - I bought an apple and blackberry pie yesterday so that’ll do (with custard/ice-cream).

Oldest DS been to watch Spiderman movie at cinema with a friend. Currently dragging himself away from his PlayStation to get a bath.
Myself and youngest son been to soft play with a friend and similar aged child for the afternoon. Managed a coffee. Currently snuggled on the sofa eating gingerbread men with Peppa Pig in the background.

It's just me.

I wish I could report some luxurious, decadent way I've spent the time but so far I've gutted the kids room, done the litter tray, prepped dinner and cleared the airer / hung the next lot of washing out.

Having a cuppa and will stick on ab episode of ETTC, of course they'll be back any minute

I’m currently sat on the sofa cuddling my gorgeous 3 day old baby girl! We’ve barely moved from the sofa all day. DH has taken our two old DC out to the park so I’m enjoying the peace.

My son is at the cinema with Grandma, my husband is on a walk with the baby, I’m supposed to be making dinner, but I can’t be bothered so I had a nap and I’m running myself a bath.

I was up early and took Ds12 to his football match. His team got absolutely smoked.
Then had a lazy afternoon. Ds1 and Ds2 currently playing on ps4 and myself and Dh watching winter Olympics.

I've just put the end of the turkey crown that we froze at Christmas in the oven. This morning, I made pancakes for breakfast, then DH took DS to football while I did some chores and had a bath while catching up on the Olympics (much needed relaxation at 33 weeks pregnant!). Played with DS after lunch, popped to Asda for a few bits (seeing a rainbow en route), and now prepping for roast dinner. A nice chilled day!

Love these threads. It’s been a lovely chilled Sunday here. Dinner is bubbling away in slowcooker and smelling good. I’m sat on the sofa with a 🍷. DH is out. I’ve set DC to go through some old toys hoping to a) buy some peace and quiet and b) generate a nice big bag for charity shop. Doing ok on a) but they keep finding long-forgotten “treasure” (aka tat) so I suspect there will be little to clear out. I wonder if Marie Kondo has this problem - honestly, mum, this free plastic toy that I haven’t seen/thought of for 2 years brings me endless joy and I will cry if you so much as hint at disposing of it?!

I'm having a gin & tonic while DH and I take turns sorting various bits of a roast dinner.

Both DS are watching football, and ddog is crashed out as he's been a wee walk after being neutered last week.

It's been a horrendously wet weekend, interspersed with snow!

I'm having a rare lazy day.

I've been knitting most of the day while watching Reacher on Prime.

Alan Ritchson - is exactly how I imagined Reacher would look. How on earth Tom Cruise thought he could get away with it is beyond me.

Our daughter has arrived with the grandchildren for Sunday lunch, which my husband is making. I'll clear up a little later on and back to the knitting, feet up, a glass of something and more TV.

I'm up at 5.30am in the morning for childminding duties and so the week starts again. Very full days with the grandchildren and then completing my own deadlines as I work from home in the evenings.

I am doing a craft thing. DH is doing a huge pile of ironing. We went for a walk this morning. Planning our monthly Zoom supper with the adult DC and partners. We started in lockdown and they don't live locally so it is a chance to catch up.

Been out all day visiting a friend.

Home now. DC are watching TV whilst I make them some tea, DH in the shower. I'm going to have a bath after that, then it's bedtime. My turn to take DS(3) up, DH's turn to read to DD(8).

After that I'm going to play on the Switch and then head to bed. I need to change the sheets but I'll get there.
