How many times did you have sex to fall pregnant?

Posting for traffic, been TTC and nothing.

So how many times did you have to have sex the month you fell pregnant?

I cannot do daily sex no matter how hard I try. Even every other day tails off mid month it's just too much.

But if this is what we have to do then we have to do it.

Can you please comment to let me know the frequency of your sex the month you fell pregnant?

Three times

Every other day or up to 5 times per week during the ovulation window (using a period tracker not sticks).

Have you had any investigation from your GP? Sometimes it depends on how long you've been trying for, but I have regular peaks, ovulation and periods but was still diagnosed with PCOS which can affect the quality of eggs and ovulation. If you have been trying for 6 months and have a recognised fertility issue (like PCOS) they can investigate sooner in some areas

Zero.

We conceived via IVF

Howlong have you been trying?
We barely had sex outside of my ovulation period tbh. Somewhere between every and every other day then. I was using temp and ovulation sticks.

It's going to vary hugely. For my eldest twice in my fertile week. My periods were 28 days to the day and I tracked using an app. The second pregnancy I missed one pill and the third pregnancy twice in my fertile week.

I fell for both of my DS, the first month of trying, didn’t have anymore sex than usual. Good luck OP.

To maximise your chances of getting pregnant you need to have sex either one or two days before you ovulate. If you have sex every other day, you will hit one of those two days.

Get some cheap ovulation tests from Amazon and do one every day from day 7 of your cycle. Have sex every other day from then on two. When the ovulation test turns positive (the test line needs to be darker than the control line), keep having sex every other day for the next four days, and then you can probably give it a rest until your period if you want.

If your partner has a lower sperm count then you may be more likely to succeed having sex every other day than every day (and it sounds like you don't want to have sex every day anyway), but he still needs to be ejaculating regularly for healthy sperm (so it's no good him saving it all up for the day you get a positive ovulation test). Oh, and in the week or so before your ovulation, he shouldn't be engaging in any extra-curricular self loving!

DH hit the 🎯 only once each time.

Not sure if already recommended but get the Flo app to track your cycle. It’s free and I find it to be accurate.
