Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone doing today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, not in silence though - the washing basket's overflowing this week so the machine's on already 🙄 I was hoping for a longer lie in.

We're having a fairly lazy day I think. I want to walk down to the little asda for a few bits so expect dd1 will come with me and dd2 will stay at home with their dad. It looks like it might rain though so we might not get there 🤷‍♀️

Both girls have homework so we'll make sure that's done & I want to prep for Rainbows and Guides on Tuesday evening.

Dd1 wants to cook something long winded so we might prep part of that too, to freeze for now.

No idea what's for tea yet, maybe diy pizzas to go with the homemade coleslaw my friend's dad gave me yesterday 😋

It's wet and wild here today too!

No one really slept well so no quiet teapot ritual this morning for me either!

I'm trying to plan meals for the week (recently joined slimming world) children are a mix of playing / reading / asleep

We may brave the weather and venture into town as Ds needs new walking boots. Or we might wait until next weekend for that.

DH and I are off out for dinner tonight which is very rare and I'm so excited! DCs will eat at grandparents.

Homemade coleslaw sounds good. There's a deli in our village that does amazing salads like coleslaw, potato salad, bean salad, Greek salad etc.

For pizzas we quite like tortilla pizza, so easy, just get a wrap, add tomato puree and toppings then bake for about 5 mins.

I've gone to visit my parents without my DC, so I got to sleep until I woke naturally. Amazing. But I'm having an asthma flare up so I feel breathless and shaky. Not ideal. I'm seeing lots of my family for lunch and a friend for dinner so this needs to stop!

When I get out of bed I will be going to Hobbycraft to spend my birthday voucher from them. This afternoon at 3pm I will be crafting whilst listening to Rylan on Radio 2. My partner made enough veggie shepherd's pie yesterday so that just needs reheating so no real cooking. At other times of the day I'll just be mooching around the house.

Im watching the tennis and dreaming of going to the Australian Open one day. Then I'm getting ready as we're going away for the weekend. We're only staying 90 minutes away but I'm ridiculously excited ! I wonder how excited I'll be when I'm fulfilling my dream to go to Australia. 🤣

I am slightly hungover from a lovely evening yesterday. It is raining and coldish, but the wind has died down.
I need to weed out redundancies in a text that's too long, send my DB some of his childhood pictures and generally relax.
School has broken up for 1 week winter break, so DS will do nothing (he could revise), DH and DD are working.

It’s so windy here!
I was woke up by it a couple of times through the night.
I’m sitting having a cuppa, dd2 is up and playing on her laptop, dd1 is still asleep.
Going to my parents at some point today for a catch up.
Then just home and potter about I think.
Trying really hard to avoid the shops, as I’m doing no spend january. Nearly there now, it hasn’t been easy 😂

Morning! It’s been a long week here so would have loved a lazy day but it’s not looking likely. I need to finish an assignment for my course so I’m tackling that after some coffee. Plenty of breaks planned for tackling some housework.

DH is off to spend some time with SIL while I’m studying.

Then when he’s back we are making steak sandwiches for tea and maybe start season 2 of Succession.

Morning! So far today the dog has got fleas, I've batted the dog, sprayed the house while we had a walk, and boil washed the bedding and cushions. Dog shouldn't be on bedding and cushions but life is like that.
Now we're having porridge and watching cbeebies. Got to go to the post office and then a bit of Davina exercise DVD, allotment later to plant some roses.

Bathed the dog! Not batted!!!

I don’t think we will go anywhere today as the wind as absolutely ferocious! We are going to my parents for dinner but hopefully it will have calmed down by then.

Very wild and windy here, so forget the gardening plans. Still in bed with a coffee. Haircut later this morning then taking DS up to Dd1s house for a post birthday sleepover with Dd and her bf. DH working tonight so planning a blissful night in a freshly changed bed with a good book!

Rainbows for DD2 and a run for me while she’s there, then pick up and home for lunch and Tesco delivery. DP is going on a course this afternoon so I’m at home with the children for the rest of the day. Church tomorrow morning and then DP’s course again in the afternoon, so a quiet weekend for us mostly

I'm in bed while DH is up with DS. He has a party at 10.30am then his own party at 2.30pm. Sixteen five year olds in soft play!

After that it will be a chippy tea, bed for DS and large wine for me!

DH went off skiing for a week last night, so it’s just me and 8yo DS.

8yo is having a morning of playing. He’s got homework to do too. I need to get the spare room ready for my DF visiting next week and do some CBT.

This afternoon we’re swimming and popping to the library to get a book I requested. Fish and chips for supper.

Then I can enjoy watching what I want on TV

Morning! At the moment I've just finished tidying my kitchen and putting bottles in the steriliser for DS2. DS1 is playing with/destroying some Lego cars he made while the other one has a nap in his Moses basket. Think later DS1 will want to go to nannies for a while then DH and I will go into town and I'll try and pull up my brave pants long enough to go and get a couple of new piercings

Morning I had a lovely lie in until nearly 9 which was rare for me. I’m drinking my coffee then I really need to tidy up and sort washing out . I’m thinking of something nice for tea could do with some inspiration . I’ll pop to supermarket later then it’s just relaxing at home with a wine or 2 tonight.

Hunkered down in kitchen with very scared dog and slightly scared-though -they-won't-admit-it teens. Scotland. 90mph winds since 4am. Worried about the roof / chimneys on house.

I'm drinking my first cuppa and bracing myself to do a mixture of housework and catching up on work for my job too. Will do some washing and change my sheets too. Dull really but I'm moving soon so need to declutter and pack as I go. New start ahead for me!

Morning! I’ve just finished Parkrun and am in my car drinking coffee before I drive home.
I’ve then got to make DS2 a birthday cake for tomorrow. He’s also requested Dominoes as a birthday treat so no cooking for me today - win win!

Just back from a week away working. Washing on, coffee drink and back in bed scrolling. Need to shower and take dog out.
Then might make a pie / cakes. Feels like that sort of day

We’ve got a very windy rugby session later, so we might be lazy and drive so we can watch from the car. After lunch we’re going to ZSL, they have a baby tiger.

I’ve got the new pokémon game for my birthday, so if I’m very lucky I’ll get to play a bit later.
