This thread has prompted me to ask my bestie for a night out on the town. It won’t be a classic Newcastle night out like in uni with Baja beach club, Buffalo Joes or the Boat but we’ll make do with what we got!

Some of these songs mentioned have took me right back as if I was there in some sweaty grotty club having the time of my life! Not in my pjs with a hot water bottle contemplating if it’s too early to go to bed

I’ve got a real eclectic taste in music and love most of the stuff mentioned. I remember shouting Shooting Star at the top of my lungs so many times.
There was another dance track that is so inappropriate now but something about “face down, arse up” I can’t remember the name.

I also remember dancing to Paradise By The Dashboard Light, I know this wasn’t 2000s but it always got a good reaction. I was quite sad to hear Meat Loaf had passed away

More of an indie/rock kid here but remember a lot of these songs from union nights- anyone else remember juice and pop tarts? Monday nights at the lead mill or corp and Thursdays fuzz club at the union for indie/rock! 50p vodka mixer at corp, 60p at leadmill….!!
