Mine was sooooooo good. Lemon sole, little roasted potatoes and green veg stir fried with garlic and sesame oil... followed by M and S frozen to bake at home choc-chip cookies.

I had a below par dinner yesterday so I feel your pain.

I was on my own for dinner and decided to make egg fried rice to use up some left over rice, but put two eggs in when one would've been plenty.

I ended up with a bowl of ricey scrambled egg

I couldn't be arsed tonight so had beans and sausage on white warbies toastie. It was delish.

Are you sure you can't magic up a dessert? Tell us what you've got vaguely sweet or baking ingredient wise & we'll see what we can come up with. I'm trying to not have any puds but if I was really wanting one I'd make a jam sandwich, dip it in egg, fry it and sprinkle it with sugar.

DP made a chicken pepper curry with rice, chickpeas, peas and yoghurt. It was yum! DD (8) was annoyed that it was “too mild” (she likes very hot curries…much hotter than I can manage!)

Do you have wine? I find that makes most things better.

@GoGoGretaDoll they are sooooo good... right combination of gooey middle and crisp edge... sweet, but not too sweet... vanillaey and chocolatey... they don't scrimp on the choc chips. And there are 8 in a bag.

I don’t have a kitchen until at least next week due to renovations so I had a (heated in the garage microwave) mushroom stroganoff and rice. It was really disappointing, not that I expected a lot. I have promised myself Chinese takeaway tomorrow to make up for it 😀

Oh too bad OP. Mine was also a bit rubbish, home made soup that was just not quite right. No one to blame but myself.
