I think someone laughed at my dinosaur jumper

On my way out of M&S food hall earlier wearing the rather splendid dinosaur jumper Father Christmas brought, and I think I got laughed at by a lady passing me. I could be wrong, but she had previously been walking in silence with a man, looked directly at my chest (where aforementioned dinosaur is proudly displayed) and laughed. One of those slightly derisive, snorty kinds of laugh.

I’m now thinking of making this jumper a sort of M&S uniform, and wearing it every time I go there, in the hope of bumping into her again, and through regular exposure, showing her the joys of dino knitwear.

What do we think? Perhaps I need to up my dinosaur game to be really effective? Dinosaur leggings? Dress? Face paint and matching sound effects?

I have two Paul Smith dino t-shirts and now, thanks to this thread, I also have a dinosaur shirt (the white one with a black bow) and a lightning bolt jumper. I really wanted the pink layered dinosaur scene jumper too but unfortunately it was sold out in big lass sizes 😆

It seems difficult to get an adult coat with dinosaurs on.
So for step 1, you will either need patches on an existing jacket or coat (etsy has good ones) or a friendly dressmaker and flamingofabrics.co.uk/collections/waterproof-fabrics/products/roarsome-dinos-waterproof-fabric-sold-by-half-metre

OP, take no notice whatsoever of snorting woman - sounds like a fun-sponge. I adore dinos and have a surprisingly large collection of dino clothes, including ironic-vintage-style tea dresses and a fabulous satin evening gown with a pattern of various dinos against an erupting volcano backdrop. . I'm sure folk must look at me thinking "WTF?!" sometimes, but I long ago decided to interpret these as looks of amazed admiration.
My absolute favourite (and most comfy) outfit is my corduroy dino dungarees, I'd wear them every day if I could. I wear them with a multicolored long-sleeved, striped top underneath and accept I look like a 46 year old toddler - but they've resulted in many fun dino-based conversations with little kids. Once I was standing in the queue for a ride at a theme park with my teen DD when a very little boy ran up and literally shouted "I love your dungarees!". I told him I loved his dino rain coat - of which he was very proud - he hugged my leg and ran back off to his mom, who was watching and smiling from a safe distance.

Incidentally, DD is a tall, slim, gorgeous goth, so we must look a right sight together, with me being not tall and not slim and clad in dinos!
Dino jewellery is also worth a look for aficionados - my favourite earrings are T-Rexs that dangle from smallish, chunky hoops - roarsome and great for everyday wear. And the large black gemstone ring people sometimes comment on is actually mineralised dino bone, not a semi-precious stone. Dinos are fascinating and fabulous and they make me happy. If your dino jumper and leggings make you happy OP, then wear them with pride and anyone who wants to rain on your parade can frankly just bugger off.
I just need to go and order a dino cardigan now....

I have a multicoloured dinosaur jumpsuit. I wear it with glittery DMs and glittery triceratops earrings & pendants.

Fab op, I’m not that brave def boring dresser however my son loves dinosaurs so has been loving all your pics and I quite fancy a Dino jumper how so we shall see. He has natural history museum Dino joggers from John Lewis but going to look at the shop now. He wants me to get Dino leggings

I've just remembered I had an older design NHM dinosaur mug and am now a bit sad I don't know where it is

So much for my no new clothes this year...
Mind you I might be going to conferences this year where I actually have to convince people I'm a real adult rather than someone who lives in gymkit and graphic print hoodies.

The dino shirts and dresses go well with my hand grenade cherry and Dios de las Muertos tea dresses I have worn to meetings before.
