I think someone laughed at my dinosaur jumper

On my way out of M&S food hall earlier wearing the rather splendid dinosaur jumper Father Christmas brought, and I think I got laughed at by a lady passing me. I could be wrong, but she had previously been walking in silence with a man, looked directly at my chest (where aforementioned dinosaur is proudly displayed) and laughed. One of those slightly derisive, snorty kinds of laugh.

I’m now thinking of making this jumper a sort of M&S uniform, and wearing it every time I go there, in the hope of bumping into her again, and through regular exposure, showing her the joys of dino knitwear.

What do we think? Perhaps I need to up my dinosaur game to be really effective? Dinosaur leggings? Dress? Face paint and matching sound effects?

A long time ago I walked into work wearing my new (not particularly exciting) woolly hat, and the receptionist burst out laughing at me. I still wear that hat over a decade on. Some people just have very limited horizons. Spread that Dino love, op. I vote you get the dress next

I've got a diplodocus print grey sweater that I always get compliments on.
I also have a diesel sweatshirt with a big t rex claw on. Bloody love Dino fash! Good on you OP

To be fair some people are odd. I wear berets because I like them. Have lots of colours. I live in London but when I visit my countryside home town, people insist on saying ‘bonjour!’ and sniggering 😂

I have a Curious George t-shirt which I will make a point of wearing to M&S when I pop in for my annual supply of socks/knickers.

I may have to get one. Making people laugh in the shops sounds like a great objective for clothing!

This is why I shouldn't go on Mumsnet during the Long Dark Teatime of the Soul. I appear to have just purchased a dinosaur jumper (and a non-dino-themed t-shirt to spend enough to get free delivery!)

She is clearly an idiot. Who doesn't love a dino jumper? Is was very pleased to find some adult sized dino pjs in Next a couple of years ago, they are my favourites.

Next time make direct eye contact and do your best dinosaur roar.

I love fun designs on clothes. I’m often slightly jealous of the prints on my son’s clothing! When he was a baby he had a onesie covered in a pattern of sharks that I’d quite happily wear as a shirt.

People who snort at others clothing aren’t really worth impressing. Nothing of value was lost!

I regularly look like a giant over sized toddler that has been vomited on by a unicorn. My fave combo at the moment is a neon blue and pink jelly fish dress, purple tights and powder boot Mary Jane's. I care not what other people think of me 😁

I have a different Sugarhill Dino jumper! Sadly it doesn't fit because of the baby weight but I kept it in hope!

I'm currently wearing my Frugi farmyard pyjamas with little tractors, chicks, pigs and sunflowers all over them. Screw other people, just be you!
