Hi all, I have a new kitchen and my husband has just bought the biggest plastic bottle of fairy liquid ever and it looks bloody awful. What do you use to store washing up liquid if you’re a ponce like me

Reading with interest as I had no idea this was a thing

LubaLuca · 08/01/2022 12:23

Could you just put it in a cupboard?

DobbyTheHouseElk · 08/01/2022 12:23

Er….
I keep my WUL in the cupboard under the sink.

A cupboard

NYnewstart · 08/01/2022 12:24

Just a cheap IKEA glass dispenser.

It pleased me more than I thought it would when I bought it. No more ugly plastic bottle.

BliainNua · 08/01/2022 12:24

Same as Dobby

PlanetNormal · 08/01/2022 12:24

I’ve never heard of a ‘washing up liquid dispenser’, and it sounds a bit Hyacinth to me, tbh. We squeeze the stuff from the bottle, but I am from Derbyshire so I might just be a pleb…

GenialHarryGr0ut · 08/01/2022 12:25

We use refills and have a dispenser that came from Lakeland

A method one, use up the liquid then top it up with whatever is on offer, sometimes method, sometimes ecover, sometimes a giant bottle of fairy. I like the pattern on the bottle

HoardingSamphireSaurus · 08/01/2022 12:26

I'm a pleb. Had no idea there was such a thing as a wul dispenser!

NYnewstart · 08/01/2022 12:27

See I’m overly invested in this as I love it so much. The colour of the fairy liquid inside the glass matches my kitchen.

#easily pleased.

Joystir59 · 08/01/2022 12:28

Gosh.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 08/01/2022 12:28

We buy big 5 L jerries of WUL, and use it to fill up a normal size bottle as required.
Have you got an old small bottle you could use?

RedSoloCup · 08/01/2022 12:29

Also top up a method one it's great 😀

BruceAndNosh · 08/01/2022 12:31

a plastic one.
A glass one is a bit risky when you're as cack handed as me

cortex10 · 08/01/2022 12:32

There are lots on Etsy

I would say put it in the cupboard but I know only one of us would do it.

I’ve not spent 20 grand on the kitchen to have a shitty fairy liquid bottle showing

ExtremelyDetermined · 08/01/2022 12:34

We use a refillable glass one from the milkman or eco shop.

Bec1710 · 08/01/2022 12:35

Depending on the design of your sink (needs to have a hole) you may be able to fit in a built in washing up liquid dispenser (you can get them from Amazon). Really handy as you then have a pump which can dispense directly into your sink.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 08/01/2022 12:36

I have a dishwasher. So don’t really use WUL. You are properly bonkers though. 🤣 At least it’s Fairy not Aldi in your expensive kitchen!! 😉

minipie · 08/01/2022 12:36

We have one that is built into the worksurface like this

Ohmycron · 08/01/2022 12:36

Ha no. The old one was Aldi!!
