Can we have a ‘I love my beautiful cats’ thread?!

Standing making a cup of tea early very this morning and both my cats woke and came to join me. They were just standing staring at me (waiting for food, obviously, not because they love me!) and I just kept thinking how much I love ‘em 😻 Posting pictures of them to show you all why I clearly have the most beautiful cats in the world 😉 but I’d love to see yours too! Please indulge me 😊

Magic and Cheddar. Both rescues. My sister tells everyone that Cheddar is the ugliest cat ever.

This is Ken. He's a rescue/re-home He looks angelic, do not be fooled. He's a terrific rat catcher, the body count this year is in the tens. (We live in an urban area) He sits on my head when I'm trying to sleep and purrs loudly and if he thinks I've slept in enough he goes outside to make his paws all cold before batting me on the face to get up. We luffs him but sometimes we are disappointed that he's been terrorising the finches and tits in the garden again.

Here is Molly, our 3-year-old rescue cat.

She was living on the flat roof of a shop with her litter of kittens when she was rescued. She is haughty but adorable!

She is an absolute lady 🥰

Ahhh he's a lovely boy

My DH shows those Videos For Cats to our MaleCat ( the bird table one is his favourite) . Male Cat stretches up to 'bat' the TV screen. Luckily MaleCat is paddling in the very shallow end of his genepool and the extent of his RealLife catching is one bird in 3 years and some butterflies .
FemaleCat is incensed by a closed door and convinced DH to let her in the porch (enclosed) and the utility "because she wanted to look around"

She lelps him WFH , usuallly sitting beside him at the table pawing at his arms till he gives her attention, then she sleeps or photobombs .

They are not lapcats and any affection is given on their terms and hard earned .

I read a very statistic when I was looking for the 70 cats .......that people will choose the most bad tempered grey cat over the nicest black cat , such is the low populariity of the mini panther
Shy black cats are the most unhomeable .

Our little boy is shy , it took him months not to jump at his own shadow .

I can vacuum near Female Cat or throw laundry into a basket beside her and she's bovvered ? Am I bovverred
He will scarper with a hard stare , Bless him.

I am casually looking for another rescue cat to accompany my Walter, and would love a black cat, or another black and white (I do have a hankering for a ginger though). The problem is that most rescues aren't suitable for my home. Another cat and small children.

Funny story - I had been on the waiting list for a kitten at our local rescue for a while. One Saturday morning they crammed me to day I had passed home heck and they had two kittens needing homes.

Kitten number one - tortie and white, absolutely angelic, may as well have had a halo and a harp, extremely friendly and affectionate.

Kitten number two - black and white, fur explosion, handrear from a week old. Picked her up and the lady said "careful she's a bit....bitey" just as she sank her tiny kitten teeth into me.

Guess which one I picked 😂😂😂

P.s we have tamed her now and she actually purred for me yesterday.

But there was no way I was leaving that rescue without her - knowing that she was both a little bitey and also black and white which are as difficult to rehome as all black. So so many black and whites left in rescues it makes me so sad.

Our D Cat was rather lost when our old girl M Cat died even though she hated him with a passion. He was desperate to snuggle but she very rarely allowed that.

So we got P Cat to be his new companion. He is not ameowed by her antics of pulling his tail and swinging off his ears.

He will huff and puff whilst stomping off. Yet we always find them a few mins later snuggled up together in cat bliss with no indication that anything was amiss beforehand.

They are deeply adored and loved by our family. Both were rescue cats so have landed on their paws with us.

D Cat loves to pinch our oodies. He dislike having to share and complains if he climbs inside DD one whilst she is wearing it. She must NOT move during this time or he will grumpily complains! 😂

Loving all these photos and stories of the cats. Although I suspect some cats would deny the information that they consider to be less than purrfect about them! 😁

Can't be true. All grey cats are sweet tempered .
(I think I'm allowed to say this with 1 grey and 3 black cats at present.)

Here's our 4 month old ragdoll who was nervous for about 48hrs and now rules the flat! He sleeps on our bed every night and headbutts me for strokes at various unearthly hours.

Lovely boy! I also love the two cats of Purrcats. A happy ending. I have two brothers who also scrap with each other and love each other to pieces.
All the cats upthread are gorgeous.

We're trying to find a rescue cat at the moment (easier said than done) and I just love human names for pets...David, Steven, Daphne etc but my DC are having none of it.

So many beautiful cats here.
