Adult bed linen, not kids.

Mainly curious but also looking for some recommendations.

White company - quality is great and not bad value in the sales

Thecatisboss · 04/01/2022 20:26

Just linen - excellent value.

In my heart and in my dreams, White Company to match my treasured pyjamas.

In reality, Dunelm. Just got a new brushed cotton set in the sale and it's very snuggly. Remains to be seen how it'll wash though.

Svara · 04/01/2022 20:36
@Svara I use John Lewis sheets and use one constantly (washed and dried weekly then back on). It's still going strong 5 years in.
Thanks, it sounds like they do last then. I was looking at one that's £22 for a double and wondering if two £8 cotton sheets last four years (well I've replaced one, the other is still good), would a £22 sheet last 11 years? I prefer to buy clothes and shoes that last, but never thought to pay more for a sheet.

Mainly Dunelm for fitted sheets, duvet covers - Dunelm, Matalan and M&Co.

I get the fitted sheets for the dc from Lidl or Aldi as they have continental mattresses and they come a little bigger.

Chloemol · 04/01/2022 20:39

Dunelm and just bought some from M&S

TooMuchSugar22 · 04/01/2022 20:41

Dunelm, asda, tesco

TooMinty · 04/01/2022 20:41

John Lewis and Primark. JL feels nicer but Primark is good for the price, the jersey duvet sets are nice and cosy.

greenlynx · 04/01/2022 20:46

I’ve got a lot from M&S and a few recently from Dunelm. M&S stuff is good, Dunelm has got more variety in styles.

Soak and Sleep (French Linen range)

buckeejit · 04/01/2022 21:12

Yip, soak & sleep, I'm a convert to 100% linen

BBCK · 04/01/2022 21:41

Dorma from wherever. I am typing this from under my Dorma duvet cover, one of a pair that are still going strong after 24 years. The sheets and the pillowcases probably lasted about 8 years before needing to be replaced. I’ve bought expensive Dorma sets (2 of each set) twice and all are still looking great so it’s just as well I bought neutral classic designs that have matched our more regularly changed bedroom decor.

Costco. Fabulous.

Sparklingbrook · 04/01/2022 22:51

Anywhere that sells high thread count so John Lewis or sometimes you can pick some up at Homesense.

Can't do jersey or brushed cotton or that teddy bear stuff. Has to be high thread count cotton and in white or cream. You spend a long time in bed so I think it's important to have what you like.

Oxonschools · 04/01/2022 22:58

I've just chucked a John Lewis sheet I bought 25 years ago, basic cotton sheet now fraying in a few places. I basically stick with JL as the quality is good with odd purchase from TK Maxx or other department stores. Go for 400 thread count minimum and 100% cotton.

Yesthatscorrect · 04/01/2022 23:02

Dunelm or Next for the duvet cover and bottom sheet. Always Christy for pillow cases. Literally nothing better. I've just bought a full duvet set in the Christy sale but I wouldn't normally pay full price.

I can't bear cheap bedding.

Rachaelrachael · 04/01/2022 23:04

The white company. Their towels and bath mats are great too

Ivalueloyaltyaboveallelse · 04/01/2022 23:07

Dunelm, White Company, Next, M&S or Sainsburys. I’m not very fussy about where to be honest as long as I like the style.

delilahbucket · 04/01/2022 23:07

Most recently M&S. We got new duvets, pillows and the covers. Very pleased with them all.

PonDeReplay · 04/01/2022 23:08

IKEA or TK Maxx most recently.

Charlieandlola · 04/01/2022 23:09

Asda has brilliant high thread count sets , as does CostCo
Also got some good sets from Amazon
White company quality is now terrible
I find Sophie Allport to be scratchy and only 200tc
Joules via Bedeck is better
Vintage linen from
EBay for the summer
M and S is also reliable
