Morning everyone! What's everyone up to today?

Last day of the Christmas holidays here, so I'm making the most of enjoying my first cuppa on my own.

There are some pots to wash up, washing to be done and upstairs needs hoovering. Birthday decorations from dd2's birthday at the beginning of last week need to come down too.

I need to get out my Rainbows and Guides stuff for this evening, and nip to the shops for some sort of prize for the winning team of Guides in tonight's "Quiz of 2021".

Other than that, I think we'll have a steady, moochy, kind of day and make sure everyone has what they need for tomorrow sorted early ish, and I've at least started one of the online courses I need to do for work.

If I get chance, I want to complete the toe section of the crochet socks I'm working on.

I was up at 7.30 with the dog so Ive had a couple of cuppas and some toast. Have a wash on. Will go and have a shower shortly.

No school or work here.

Starting to take down the Christmas decorations. Did the tree in the hall yesterday. Need to take the lights off it today.

Off for a walk with a newish friend this afternoon.

Hi ! No school until Thursday and the decorations are down but I need to sort my floor (whole wardrobe is on it as was having a sort)

Dc are watching TV. I will get dressed and make a coffee. Need to use my lumea as want hair free legs for summer. Have a decent extension lead. First I'll watch a bit of This Morning and enjoy the last two days of the holidays.

Later I'll sort bags for charity (haven't much but want to keep in top of it)

I work in a shop and this is my first day off for ages. So the house needs gutted but I'm tired. Admin stuff needs doing too. I'm keeping the tree and decorations up till the weekend as I've hardly seen them.
Dh is off today and I want to go a run (in the car )

This is a good day for me.

I have sorted the washing, towels in the dryer finishing off, dishwasher emptied, bed stripped ready to be changed, I am showered and about to dry my hair.
A quick visit to the supermarket and then we are going to the Yorkshire Dales for two nights with the blessed dog.

Still off school and work here, although DH is back to work today.

We took all the decorations down yesterday, so downstairs is pretty sorted. The DC's rooms still look like bombsites though, so blitzing them is on the to do list.

Need to take the dog out for a walk and nip to the shops to get a few bits for tea tonight. Defrosted some beef shin yesterday, so planning a beef stew. It's cold and bright here, so comfort food is in order.

Not sure that DD1 has done any of her homework and DD2 needs to finish her school reading book. Need to make sure they're completed before they go back to school.

DH has gone out for a cycle so it's just me and toddler DD at home, plus cat. Cat is sleeping. I'm getting some thrilling chores done, then while DD is napping I will start some work - doing a written dialogue for a friend's translation blog, so l'll work on my latest bit for that.

When DH gets home he will take DD out for a walk so I can do more work.

DP back to work today. DS has two more days before returning to school. For me - empty dishwasher, put washing away, hang up more wet washing, load next wash into machine, ironing, take down the Christmas decorations, entertain two DC....

One child in school today the other doesn’t go back until tomorrow, I’m going to try and do a big shop in Sainsbury’s with the little one in tow. I want to take the decorations down but might leave it until tomorrow when everyone is out the house.

After school I’ve got to take both boys to buy new ballet outfits as they have changed from black to blue 🙄

Last day of the school holidays here, and I’ve got a day off. Will probably just stay indoors and potter, as it’s pouring with rain and DD is fatally drawn to mud…
Second load of washing is on, and I’ll get the bread maker going shortly. Just need to think of ways to stop DD bouncing off the walls with boredom.

I've already been out to drop DD off at nursery and been to the supermarket for a couple of bits that were out of stock on the online shop.

DS doesn't go back to school until tomorrow so is currently playing Mario Kart and eating his third breakfast.

I took down all the Christmas stuff yesterday but it all needs taking back up to the loft and the house is just scruffy after the festive madness so I need to do a big tidy round today and put away the laundry mountain that's sitting in the kitchen.
I'm just struggling to shift myself from the sofa.

Sitting in the hospital with my son waiting for him to be called down for surgery to remove major metalwork from his leg.
He's delighted to be missing school!

Semi lazy day here. It's snowing so I don't really want to go out in the wet and cold, DS seems happy enough to watch Paw Patrol while I switch between sitting on my arse mumsnetting and doing bits and bibs around the house.

Hoovered, done some washing. I've got to go for an MRI of my brain in an hour. It's to look at a benign (they think) tumour, to see if it's grown or is cancerous. When I get home from that, I'm going to see my friend and go to Aqua Aerobics, then make dinner tonight. Not exactly riveting.

I'm mainly going to be refreshing the PCR booking page as I have covid (confirmed by PCR) but school won't let the children back to school without a negative PCR. But no PCR available. Interesting.....

First day back at work for me, but I'm wfh today and it's very quiet.

Going to have a shower then check whether anything needs washing before back to school tomorrow.
Took out the huge amount of xmas rubbish last night as binmen due today so house looking less of tip.
Wil watch a couple of episoded of The tourist although I am really not following it properly.

Back to work and school today so normal school time run, but working from home so I got to do some much needed yoga on my break and sort myself a healthy lunch out. I also booked swimming for tomorrow night!

Was going to do the food shop after school but we were too cold so settled for an easy leek, carrot and potato soup for tea rather than something fancy.

My partner isn't working tonight which is unusual for him so quiet night for us whilst I enjoy his company

My non working day , so far I’ve cleaned my en suite , hoovered a bit , printed out a label for a few le creuset items I’ve sold from my collection and now just chilling before my mum arrives to do the ironing and I’ll go and de poop the garden and do a bit more pottering and housework
