Maybe something light but not a clue what to actually make 🤷‍♀️

What's cooking at yours?

Picnic. Sandwiches, dips, pate and cheese. Done enough cooking lately!

Scotland here so steak and square sausage pie, mash and peas.

I just saw this. My gran made it with square sausage, I prefer links. ☺️

Homemade pizza, wine and chocolates

A load of bits that we can just put on plates and people can grab what they like.

Ordered Papa John's that dh is going to collect and I've filled the oven with nuggets, sausage rolls, spring rolls, etc we're doing an all nighter so need the sustenance

Buffet!

Meats
Party food (mini pizzas/ mozerella sticks etc)
Crisps
Veg sticks
Grapes

Ds had a swim training session for 2.5 hrs this morning - then I cooked curry for lunch.

Buffet will happen about 8pm and we will eat and play games and watch tv.

Sriracha chicken pasta with garlic bread fairly early in the evening, then a buffet at midnight with cheese and crackers, sausage rolls, cheese bites, quiche, crisps and dips, pork pies, mini burgers and lashings of alcohol, since I'm driving later in the day for NYD dinner tomorrow. Also contemplating doing dry Jan.

Having Salmon for Supper .Doing a light buffet for us later on .Crisps ,Some chicken nibbles. cheese and crackers to see the new year in! With some drinkies as well obv !

just us and the children here tonight due to covid so its a party food freezer rummage. Pizza, mini mac cheese bites, nuggets, mini pies. Might do a cheeseboard with board games later on and crisps and dips for kids

We’re planning two dinners tonight!

Dinner at dinner time will be steak, boiled potatoes with butter, garlic and parsley, leafy greens (can’t remember specifically what they are), bernaise sauce.

Then later when we’re trying to stay awake to see in the new year we’ll have a very late supper of DH’s homemade ciabatta with cambazola, salami, figs, grapes, walnuts, olives and some sparkling wine. Cheers! 🥂

We’re having a buffet and a bottle of rose. I’ve got cheddar, Brie, Stilton, olives, pickles, crackers, pears, and some rosemary and olive oil bread. Diet starts tomorrow!

Sausage pasta. Chocolate cake for afters.

We're having pulled pork (been in the slow cooker since this morning) which will go in some hot crusty rolls, served with wedges, coleslaw, onion rings and pickles.

Indian takeaway

Meat and potato pie. Zero effort on my part as my husband made it.

I’m doing stew for steak pie tomorrow and can’t be bothered cooking something else. It’s just me and the toddler tonight, so I’ve ordered pizza.

I’d got a nice healthy stir fry in the fridge but preordered a Chinese instead. It’s my last blow out before the diet starts again.

Paella

Cotecchino, the traditional Italian NYE “gristle” sausage that I’ve actually grown to like.
Lentils in tomatoes and garlicky chicken stock, to symbolize money.
Grilled mash made with cream and butter.
Pineapple.
Special panettone with peaches, chocolate and amaretto crust.
Pink sparkling wine.

But I very much don’t feel like cooking and if I had my way I’d eat the cabbage and bacon leftovers
Or the mushroom risotto leftovers
Or the leftover soup
Or the leftover avocado on some sodabread toast
Because I know there will be leftovers from tonight as well…

Chinese takeout. DD is currently having risotto from the freezer (supervised by DH) while I get myself warmed up with an emergency packet of Space Raiders in the other room (will 100% not be seeing in midnight)

Egg and chips love it an easy tea.

Friday night is curry night! DH cooking a fancy one in order of NYE...

Have just ordered mcdonalds for the kids, DP is working tonight and i cant be bothered to cook. I might have jacket potato.

My favourite NYE dinner, Chinese takeaway being delivered very shortly!
