We had a lovely traditional roast turkey lunch yesterday then cold cuts, cheese, crackers, salad and chocolate log in the evening. Then today similar for lunch with fruit salad. Thinking we need a change this evening so I'll dig around in the freezer...

A sort of Patatas bravas thing with leftover lentil chilli that wouldn’t fit in the freezer and leftover roast potatoes.

WeeFae · 26/12/2021 15:54

Aldi hog pork roast joint, apple and sage stuffing, sweetcorn and potato dauphinoise.

IncompleteSenten · 26/12/2021 15:54

Salmon and veg.
I ate soooo much junk yesterday. And the day before. And the day before that... 😂

We've just ordered pizza, as it's traditional in our house on Boxing Day

Smokeahontas · 26/12/2021 15:59

Macaroni cheese, with some of the leftover ham through it

mrsbyers · 26/12/2021 16:01

Chinese style Turkey and mushroom curry with jasmine rice - a Boxing Day must

Lifeispassingby · 26/12/2021 16:06

We just had traditional roast yesterday with some pate and crackers in the evening. Today we’ve had leftovers and homemade pate, sausages rolls etc. We’ve just finished so won’t eat much else today now except Christmas pudding and cheese etc later on x

onedayoranother · 26/12/2021 16:07

Only I ate breakfast today (duck egg, smoked salmon and tomatoes), no one ate lunch and we are having roast beef with mash tonight.

RagzReturnedUnwrapped · 26/12/2021 16:12

Bubble and squeak with leftover meat and gravy. I prefer this to the main roast. Highlight of Christmas. Mainly because DH makes it!

Everything leftover from the meal (that isn't meat) gets chopped up and mashed into it. Even the yorkies and Stuffing. This year we have roast potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, Parsnips, carrot and swede mash, Sprouts, red cabbage, Cheesey leeks, Yorkshire puddings and Stuffing. I think he adds an egg sometimes. Make into patties and coat in flour then shallow fry until crispy edges. Or make into balls and deep fry until golden and crispy.

Last few years we've had so much mixture thay I've also used it to top a shepherd's pie (made of leftover roast lamb and gravy). Heavenly!

Left over turkey breast and stuffing, bubble and squeak and fried eggs.

Traditional Christmas Dinner for us.

We were out yesterday, at my families house, for dinner but had all the stuff in (we're in London and Covid cases are insane) just incase dinner got cancelled at the last minute.

So today we've got turkey, pork, roast potatoes, pigs in blankets, stuffing, Yorkshire puddings with veg (carrots, Brussels, red cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower) and homemade gravy. Yesterday's dinner was lovely but I find I always eat less as a guest. Today I can let my inner piglet out.

We'll have Yule log (warmed up) and ice-cream for dessert.

I always find cooking a proper Christmas Dinner easier when I don't have to do it on Christmas day Grin.

notacooldad · 26/12/2021 16:16

Nothing!
I had a fabulous dinner last night and had the left overs for lunch which was lovely. I'm full now so I won't eat now until breakfast.

Benjispruce5 · 26/12/2021 16:16

Just eaten a late lunch of leftovers and cheeses, salad and snacks so won’t be cooking tonight, just continue to pick at all of that.

MrsDThomas · 26/12/2021 16:16

What ever is in the fridge. Its that kind of day

furbabymama87 · 26/12/2021 16:16

Benjispruce5 · 26/12/2021 16:18

Tomorrow’s will be turkey curry with the last of the meat.

Oblomov21 · 26/12/2021 16:18

Peridot1 · 26/12/2021 16:19

Roast lamb, roast potatoes, roast carrots, red onions and parsnips with peas, cauliflower cheese, mint sauce and gravy.

Followed by cheese and biscuits and chocolates.

Neighbours are coming over.

ParkheadParadise · 26/12/2021 16:22

We are having a buffet type dinner.
Dd and my nieces 2 kids are excited 😄😄
We are having
Mini burgers
Hot dogs
Chicken sandwiches
Roast beef sandwiches
Sausage Rolls
Chicken nuggets
Skinny Fries
Cupcakes, Chocolate log, Victoria Sponge Cake.

AllLopsided · 26/12/2021 16:23

The ham that I didn't cook on Christmas Eve because I forgot to defrost it Blush

Then I think we'll be alternating leftover ham and leftover beef (from yesterday) for the rest of the week!
