A 1. I’m just coming out of a sick bug, and still can’t face booze or chocolate. Have a 5 hour drive tomorrow with my severely motion sick DD. Just have a bit of an air of sadness with covid as well.

But the other 1’s are making me feel better. Misery loves company!

Lindy2 · 23/12/2021 19:58

Probably about a 4 right now. I've finished work and so has DH. I've done a few nice Christmas crafts with the kids which have been enjoyable.

We have some family arriving to visit tomorrow. Normally I'd be very excited but the underlying Covid worry is always there. Wer'e vaccinated and are all doing daily lateral flow tests but the lingering worry stays and puts a bit of a strain on everything.

Just had a row with dh so pretty much zero right now!

3 ish. Nothing especially wrong in our wee family, but not feeling it. Exhausted, children being demanding, lots of other tensions in wider family.

LefttoherownDevizes · 23/12/2021 20:28

2 -waiting for PCR result though so wondering if it's to protect me in case I can't do any of our planned things/see family

Holothane · 23/12/2021 20:30

1 and that’s because I’ve got nice food kindle books to read I can’t wait.

BertieBotts · 23/12/2021 20:32

A good 8 or so. More than I thought I would! DS2 is 3 and has enough Christmas spirit for ten people so it's rubbing off :o even the grumpy teen is incredibly excited, and he doesn't think he's getting much this year. He is actually getting a console which will be totally unexpected. So we're excited about that as well.

lifeinlimbo2020 · 23/12/2021 20:32

@cushioncovers sorry to hear that. My first without my sister.

dudsville · 23/12/2021 20:34

Nine. I don't know what a 10 would be. I'm pretty up there but I don't want to presume this is the best moment of my life.

ChocolateHoneycomb · 23/12/2021 20:36

All feels very depressing this year

KurtWildesChristmasNamechange · 23/12/2021 20:36

I'm at 8 tbh. All the shopping is done, all the presents have been delivered to various family members, no more wrapping to do! I've just finished the big clean in preparation for my older DC and their partners and babies arriving tomorrow for 3 days, and their beds are freshly made up. My younger DC happily watching YouTube/Netflix and very excited. I've finally sat down with a glass of wine and some quality street. The house looks fab after a very busy week. I've got some baking to do tomorrow and a ham to cook but I'm quite content. Oh and exh has managed to not be a nightmare about xyz this year which makes a huge difference to my stress levels that's for sure Xmas Smile

UserError012345 · 23/12/2021 20:38

I was really high till today. DP received some fairly upsetting news and it's fair to say Christmas is ruined.

My mental health which was fairly robust has now plummeted. Sad

RedDingDongMerrily · 23/12/2021 20:46

The last few years have been tough for our family. Good luck to all those going though the low numbers this year Flowers

I was a solid 8 but now I’m a 9

fretting123 · 23/12/2021 20:47

3, just finished a long shift on a busy hospital ward with very poorly patients. I hate the thought of people having loved ones seriously ill over Xmas. DC very excited though, so there's that.

Everything is done and I've got an excited 7 year old who is spreading the Christmas joy x

Currently 3/10. Hoping some mulled wine this evening will boost the festive feeling!

PlanetNormal · 23/12/2021 20:51

0 as usual. Christmas is my least favourite time of year.

Beebopawhop · 23/12/2021 20:52

Squiff70 · 23/12/2021 20:53

2-3. My daughter is two and doesn't really understand yet. I'm in the early stages of pregnancy - tired, sick, an anxious mess. Can't even have a glass of wine to calm my nerves. DP just came in and asked if he has to wrap my presents sigh so obviously I said yes. We're all suffering from upset stomachs and can barely eat. It's also coming up to the anniversary of our twins who were born sleeping in 2019. Just not feeling it. That said, I've studded a gammon with cloves today and cooked it in marmalade in the slow cooker. The tree looks nice and a friend called round today with a present for us, so it isn't all bad.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 23/12/2021 20:54

Was approaching maybe 1.5 yesterday, but with DM’s cancer diagnosis this afternoon , I’m in negative numbers.

etulosba · 23/12/2021 21:03

Zero. A complete contrast to last year.

For the first time that I can remember we haven’t bothered with any decorations at all.

QuestionableMouse · 23/12/2021 21:04

My mam is seriously ill in hospital. I don't feel like Christmas at all. Have to wrap all the presents and stuff yet but I just don't feel like it.
