I just read that Sarah Moulds that dreadful woman who was caught on video kicking and punching a horse has been sacked from her job as a teacher. Can't say I'm sorry.

How can anyone hunt?
How CAN they
Chasing a terrified animal to its death and watching as it is torn apart
Absolutely sick.

Just to mention that not all hunting is illegal or involves that. I got a load of abuse for being on a hunt ride. Which is a lot of horses and riders going on a ride. That's it! I wasn't even meant to be there, I was out riding alone and got caught up in it
Boxerine · 21/12/2021 00:32

I don't really get it either but you've got someone on here willing to talk about it and you've all shouted her down so I guess you'll never know the answers to your questions.

NMC2022 · 21/12/2021 00:35

Racing is different - there are strict rules for whip use and if you watch a race from the front, sometimes you can see the arm going as if the whip is being used but it never actually makes contact, it's like it's alongside the horse
Racing is so heavily filmed as well, and the whip has to be a certain foam padded one, there is a maximum use for 7 times on the flat, 8 times over fences

I'm not saying I agree or disagree but it is heavily regulated and a padded whip, not a thin stick like you see as a "normal" one
I ride with ball spurs and a whip but not for abusive reasons!

I’m very sad for her. She would’ve been DD’s teacher soon. The community here is very sad about it all. Her behaviour was unacceptable but the witch hunt unnecessary. It’s our children that are suffering- not the trolls online that have rejoiced in it all.
No not really. I have horses and they are one of the most sensitive and trusting animals. What she did was obscene and she should face the consequences for that. If she were my kids teacher I'd make sure to get her removed. The witch hunt is no such thing. Shes appalling and deserves fully to lose her job.

*Although I very much doubt

BettyTheBadBitch · 21/12/2021 01:01

So she should be! I saw the video today and what she did, even in the olden days and in very horsey circles, was despicable

givethatbabyaname · 21/12/2021 01:27

Seems she doesn’t like being the victim of a witch hunt. The irony Hmm

Small communities scare me. So insular. So much scope for morality to go out the window, along with perspective and context.

Clymene · 21/12/2021 01:27

How bizarre to actively want someone who attacks an animal to be their child's teacher.

She needs to find a different career. One where she isn't left alone with the vulnerable or defenceless.

She'll just have to find another livelihood. Tough, who the fuck wants to hurt animals.

Like the woman whose fed cocaine to that poor little monkey and flushed it down the toilet, she's been banned from ever having a pet, should have been jailed in my opinon, barbaric.

She'll be ok this woman, it takes a certain type of person to harm animals and usually they're the type to move on and not give a shit.

stillvicarinatutu · 21/12/2021 01:58

I'm glad she got sacked . No place for someone who abuses defenceless animals in a position of power . I'd not want her teaching my children.
She got caught doing something wrong and is facing the consequences. Tough luck .

It was a little bit of horse abuse. Will somebody think of the children! Such a fine, upstanding member of the community.

Gretaburley · 21/12/2021 02:51

@Megan2018
I’ve said what I wanted to say. You can all carry on with your internet bullying and wallow in your self righteousness in suburbia.

Your arrogance is shocking.
Lots of us live/have lived in small rural communities.
And we judge you and your ilk.

She got fired I assume because of her animal abuse. Not a very good example to set to children is it?

NiceTwin · 21/12/2021 03:27

Ah well, she reaped what she sowed.
No sympathy, she should keep her nasty hands to herself.

Seemslikeagoodidea · 21/12/2021 03:46

Hunting foxes with hounds is illegal, but I'm pretty sure it still goes on, disguised as 'drag hunting'. I think it's barbaric, and an ineffective way to control foxes, but it's nigh on impossible to enforce the ban and some people who have been brought up in a hunting community are brainwashed by their upbringing and unable to see what's wrong with it. It's like they haven't evolved with the rest of society, they are stuck in the dark ages. The woman in question seems to be just that sort, and I have no sympathy for her.

JustLikeaJingleBell · 21/12/2021 03:56

However nice she may appear to others in her community she showed her true colours in that video

Prescottdanni123 · 21/12/2021 04:33

@Justajot

It isn't a shame for the horses, nor is it actually a shame for the kids. They need to be taught how to treat animals kindly and with respect and love. She may not have kicked or hit the animals in front of them, but she was probably harsher than she had to be.

Bussinbussin · 21/12/2021 04:41

Honestly, how can you be sad that your child has been spared being taught by someone with such filthy temper?
Prescottdanni123 · 21/12/2021 04:45

@Megan2018

I live rurally. The community that I live in hates fox hunting with every fibre of their being. We hate any type of animal cruelty because we want our children to grow up with compassion.

SpindleWhirling · 21/12/2021 04:50

Does anyone know what exactly, legally speaking, she was sacked for? I’m curious as to what the school will have written in her dismissal letter, and if she’ll appeal.

I’m still shocked by the footage, even though I’m old enough to have woken up to the reality that human nature can be very grim at times. She was not just stupidly cruel - as pp intimated, she appeared smug and brazen.

But hunt types often are arrogant, I think, especially the social aspirants.
