I hate boys’ clubs and silly rituals etc and doing each other favours. He thinks it will help him at work. Arguments please against and in favour…

So it seems to me that it's less about men hogging the jobs and more about women hogging all the maternity leave and going off track.

Imagine typing this with a straight face! Did you not even think to use the term 'parental leave' to illustrate your deeply flawed and simplistic point of view? As far as I'm aware, men can't take 'maternity' leave so women certainly aren't 'hogging' it. Campaign for increased availability of and uptake of shared, equal parental leave. Don't accuse women of 'hogging' something only they are allowed by definition. Embarrassing.

And then deciding that actually it's not such a bad life to work three days a week for the rest of their working lives.

Blimey, I didn't realise only women can apply for, and work in, part time roles.

With some experience of both, I found that those in the motorcycle clubs had better prospect of career advancement, than masons.

Charitable at its heart, some of the first aid planes off to natural disasters have been mason funded, with no logos or labelling.

Tbh, most of the guys i’ve met have been using it as a social circle.

The secrets, just a bit of fun, no goats, just faith based rituals, emphasis on family and community and being a law abiding person.

I found them really welcoming, open, kindly. Members from different religions, different ages, and genders.

I guess like any club, you get good and bad…. Some of the most corrupt people i’ve ever met were christian’s very active at church. As a community for doing good, hard to beat the Sikhs.

Maybe it was different years ago, but these days, it’s the retired, electricians, plumbers, cabbies, cops, nhs, builders, basically the same regulars you’d get in any pub.
