Boys long hair inspo please

DS is getting a haircut soon. Hair is currently past his shoulders. It's beautiful when it's washed and brushed (almost never) & wild, full of food/foliage the rest of the time. Looking for a cool shorter style but not a typical boys cut. Having it long is his thing - so jaw to shoulder length probs but more manageable. Sorry if this is a terrible explanation!! Just after pics I can show him in the hope he'll agree to one!

Following for ideas. Ds2 is 4 and has lovely long hair. He's toying with the idea of having it cut it but no idea what to do with it.

What about the young Justin Bieber haircut?

Ooh following DS hair is longish but my word it is thick. It just grows up and out. It has a slight wave but nothing uniform that we could run with.

Book him an appointment at the hairdressers or barbers to get his hair thinned out and trimmed. Taking some bulk out of it will tame it.

The Jack Grealish haircut is really popular among young lads atm. I didn’t suggest it in case you didn’t want something so short on the back and sides, but it is very stylish.

Keep it long, just trim it. Remind him to brush it after breakfast every day. If it’s his thing leave it long.

I like both Matt smiths & Jack grealish's but can't imagine them on DS!

Don't cut it, just get him to tie it back day-to-day (I mean how does he avoid nits from school?)
My son's is to his waist, but he never has food in it, possibly because once it's that bit longer when he puts it behind his shoulders to avoid his plate it stays there.

ah sorry I should have mentioned - completely refuses to tie it back! Otherwise I wouldn't have an issue. He suits it up and it keeps it out his face but I think our record is 5 seconds 😕

I was going to suggest just having a few inches chopped off to tidy it up, but if he won’t tie it back, then I agree, he needs a shorter cut.

You’re the parent at the end of the day so don’t be afraid to put your foot down if he’s not looking after his hair.

Tie it back or chop it off would be my rule in that situation.
