I'm staying in as my DD was sick through the night 😭

I'm in bed feeling like death awaiting a PCR result.
I SHOULD have been performing in a concert this afternoon and I'm pissed off!!!

We’re doing the rounds with family/friends Xmas cards and pressies this afternoon, all pressies wrapped up and on the kitchen table.

We also have an engagement card and Prosecco for my niece who got engaged a couple of weeks ago 😳 but in my defence I was full of the cold that was hanging about. Sure she’ll appreciate the Prosecco even if it’s late 😁😁.

Apart from that and Sunday dinner later, not much else to be doing.

Tidying conservatory
Watching two episodes of our box set
Making a cake

Second lie in of the weekend
Walk with dh and coffee to deliver cards and gifts
Dd and I delivered neighbour’s cards
Chilling on sofa mumsnetting now while dh has the football on and is clearing out the office.
DD’s snotty and chilling upstairs in their rooms.
Burgers for dinner
Christmas movie together tonight with mulled wine.

I went to work this morning. Came into the house to the smell of slow cooking brisket. In pjs now, listening to the radio with fire on, candles lit and no plans other than to eat the brisket.

Just took my two dds out on out our Kayak to burn some stress off. Just made some cheese on toast and will go out for sunday dinner later - with plenty of wine
